I used to have turtles, red ears. Called them Frankie and Annette Bought them at a pet store as babies. In the summer I kept them outside in a plastic pool and in the winter brought them in and one would hibernate under the couch, the other behind the refrigerator. Had them for 11 years until they were stolen. Thieves took the pool and everything.

I love turtles. They don't bark needlessly or scratch at the door. Right now I have two softshells. I feed them chopped catfish, but now that its colder they aren't that interested in food. I've had one guy for twenty six years now. Never tire of watching him do his thing.
