Yup and down South you can bet some of those people will be at church tomorrow morning . They are among the ultimate Hypocrites.

Yes, tell me about it. My brother is a "born again" Christian, who is really nothing more than a poser. They go around congratulating each other for being holier than thou, yet commit & support hateful acts. They are happy in their delusion, and look down on those who are not "enlightened" like them. What a joke.

It's the most dehumanizing experience that one can have; I'm never going back.

The food was so bad that I could hardly eat and I lost a lot of weight.

For profit prisons are a bad sign of things to come.

FUBAR describes the U.S. right now.

Church is really big business down here in the South; they generate tons of money, and are very active in the community. If one is in business its almost mandatory to network through church.

Truth. Foster Farms chicken anyone?? Anyone know what many inmates "get" to do as their job in Duell Vocational Institute (aka DVI prison)in Central Ca? They clean and process chicken carcasses all day...Prison is an industry in and of itself. And business is good for them. Any surprise that the Ca Correctional Officers Ass. is the BIGGEST political union here?? It's the Matrix out here once you get put in that system. No bueno dudes.

Yeah prisons are big business and some of our products come from prison. They need to keep expanding by arresting people and making money for their interests. I saw a documentary about the private prisons and how there were ones that were completely empty in need of more slaves to make them money. There's big business in arresting illegals and putting them in prison to work for months down south as well. It's not this specific case that disturbs me but the fact of how the system works in general. We are all just supposed to be cattle / consumers and when you are not the norm, you are put to work for the corporations. Usually if you have money, that's what they want. If you don't have money or influence to fight your case, they make it very easy to just lock you up. Especially if you are not white. If you look at the percentage of minorities in prison compared to the percentage of them in society and compare it to whites, it's pretty alarming. The system has to change but it takes large groups of people to want to do something about it and that's a tough thing when most americans are living paycheck to paycheck just trying to survive. But that's how they planned it so they can heard the cattle.

I have wondered for a long time how this illegal, crazy, just totally fucked up, prisons for profit and the Correctional Corporation of America idea was thought up. I always thought it went like some b-b-brilliant, money grubbing, MBA thinks, "Wait a minute, we take the country that has the highest percentage of it's citizens in the world in prisons, have that population work for slave wages, no union, health care paid by the government, fed slop, etc. etc.....A self sustaining, always growing business plan.... MONEY!"

The only problem with that idea was that it is not only crazy and illegal, they put that business model to work in the USA, where people think they're free.

Most people don't even have a clue this is happening. It has been done very quietly. But the truth always does find a way to come out, and when the people realize about being systematically duped and lied to, they will revolt violently . And not just about this one thing either.

This is only one piece of shit about to hit the fan. Buckle your seat-belts folks. We're in for a bumpy ride.

A NEWS report this morning said that America is about to learn our congress does NOT represent the desires of the majority of the American people. This disgusts me personally. We here already knew that. But most Americans didn't. And that is the biggest reason they are there. Let me repeat that. To represent the majority is the main real reason they exist. There are lessor reasons. But that is by far and away the big main one. :tumbleweed:

Nobody gets 20 years for just a half ounce of weed anywhere, he had multiple prior drug convictions and was a third strike felon. He must have sold to an undercover or something similar.

Irrelevant. Nobody should be in prison for using a plant.
Not for twenty seconds, let alone 20 years.

Calm down bro I didnt say I agree with it I was just offering an explanation for the outrageous sentence that nobody was seeming to realize. Its not like he was just walking down the street with a bag and the said 'hey you there, youre getting 20 years in prison for that bag' was my only point. I fully agree with you, nobody should be locked up for a plant, but my reply was far from 'irrelevant'.

i always wondered on the american cop\criminal shows, why the person who was being chased by the cops was trying so hard to get away: now the penny has dropped !
what was just as worrying, was the amount of racism that still exists in the us, even with a black president ! after all these years.can america ever defeat racism ?

I remember when "Private" was finally kicked out of the Women's prison outside las vegas...

The last straw was when an inmate became pregnant. There are no conjugal visits. It's also a crime what that 'corporation' did to those women during their reign at that facility.

What a country, eh?

Keep it Clean! :D
