IC Mag Cup 2013 - How to get in

Honestly, reiterating my notion wont have you see what i see. Perhaps you have missed it, perhaps its a different view.

"Contentment is natural wealth, luxury is artificial poverty.”

I'm asking you to explain what you meant, not reiterate anything, that would be counter productive, but no matter.
I think I know what you were getting at, but don't see it's relevance in this situation.
How the hell is contentment with natural wealth going to get me to the ICmag cup, you feel me?:tumbleweed:

all i am gonna say is if you think SA is third world imagine how the USA looks with no healthcare crazy crime figures and unemployment and poverty at an all time high not to mention vast amounts of people locked into a industrial prison complex.

SA is so not like that, it has issues but you cant call it third world.

also i am going to the cup see you all there

Ahoyy

MildeStoner- C'mon mate, that quotes relevance was regarding your 3rd world comment.
Only way to get to in the ICMAG cup is on the first page of the thread bruv.

lord bongington, whats up man, am in agreement with you mate, seems not everybody can see it how you see it though. What cup? you mean the HTCC? I'll only know if am going around the 2nd/3rd Nov.

Give Thanks.

unfortunately am short on leave days and my boss declined my application for for 1week even. So i got some marine phosphate and picking up some soil today for a new landrace project using a seeds i got from a haze/landrace hybrid.

Will upload picks with time.

All the best and happy smoke out at HTCC. Enjoy.

Give thanks

The saddest part is that my schengen visa was approved prior to me approaching my boss.
not sure if theyll be able to reimburse me or move the validity slot for a future time period.
was a bit of a hassle getting the visa as well (bank wise) they required me to have a minimum of 1500US$ to spend ontop of a 500US$ for contigency, totalling about 2200US$ inclusive processing

My ticket was on hold from a mail string i had received back in 2000 from a friend in cape town, through a local Amsterdam company called Amsterdam-trips or something the like and the return ticket if i had paid 5 days in advance was going to cost me about 1700US$ from cape town airport, on-top of that is a 4500US$ plane ticket from Namibia to cape town and cape town to Namibia when returning.

So yea, a pretty penny i was in no doubt ready to spend for the experience really.
But more for first hand interactions.

again, to those going. Enjoy!

Give thanks

holy shit thats some expensive travels. didnt realize it's so bad from SA to Amsterdam. how can it cost that much? anyway airbnb.com is a good site for renting accommodation in all price ranges, you can even lodge with people if you really want to save.

He's in Namibia, which complicates travel further. From SA I'd be looking at between aprox. $950-1500 for a return ticket, economy class. I have friends in Amsterdam, so accommodation wouldn't be an issue. I'm hoping to attend an HTCC event in 2014 or 15, in the interest of meeting some of you IC folks and encouraging you to invite me to the 420! ;)

Yea its bit of a penny, guess am used to it. I travel between s.a and london often and ticket return is usually no less than 900 US$.. And direct flights from Namibia are looney! but this http://www.southafrica.to/bookings.php is a great site for tickets from around these parts, and indeed Ive been advised on airbnb before.

Will know by march next year if am going, that's if it will still happen next year. Will leave the thread intact as is.

Everyone going, ENJOY!!!

Give thanks.

Lool, my bad guys, one zero to many in one of those amounts. its 450U$ which is about 4500 Rands /Namibian dollars (same exchange rate), not 4500US$ which would be a really ridiculous amount for a ticket.

My bong gets the best of me sometimes. (scatter brain effect)

Give thanks
