Who created hashish?

I often wonder who the very first person was to use trichome content from the cannabis plant for smoking.

Who knows!?! :blowbubbles: :blowbubbles: :blowbubbles: :blowbubbles:

The oldest known written record on cannabis use comes from the Chinese Emperor Shen Nung in 2727 B.C

I gotta wonder who was the first or basically the first few.

Mind blowing to me. The earliest records of hashish are most likely many many years after it was discovered if not centuries maybe.

Thanks for the posts yort

I can imagine the discovery of hashish pretty easily.

Think back 10,000 or more years ago, even before your people invented agriculture. You run across a big field of cannabis' wild ancestor. It's autumn and the seeds are ripe begging to be eaten. You know about the value of seeds, all kinds of seeds, and collect them whenever possible. In the process of pulling seed heads and stripping away their sticky outer bands of protection your hands get coated with sticky resin. You lick your fingers.

What I have more difficulty imagining is the invention of smoking.

naw . . . the dude was out gathering maize, or ginger, he accidently got a few buds of Thai mixed in with his gear. after a short browning in his hollowed out rock he noticed the pungency of the weed he'd acc. left in . . . said dude stoned out of gourd

next day he returned to get more of the magic weed . . . rest is as they say history

This is logical, I agree and also wonder how smoking it came into play....

I assume smoking of the herb developed easily due to accidental fires and the smoke maybe getting people high etc. But the discovery of smoking trichome content exclusively really eludes me, I have no clue:dance013: :blowbubbles:

SHAYKH AZ-ZAWAJI HAYDAR (c. 1150-1221) Persian founder of the Haydari order of Sufis, he is credited with discovering hashish and cultivating hemp in his monastery in Khurasan. By his order, hemp was planted around his tomb, which is still visited by Sufi pilgrims.

The fact is there was in al-Hind a shaykh called Byrrtn, and that it was he who introduced its use, this Indian shaykh lived at the time of the prophet. He converted to islam, and it was through him that Cannabis consumption spread to the Muslim world. That would be maybe 600's AD.
