I'm sure if I stopped my treatments I'd be fine...but still not risking it regardless... my biggest lesson was to stay away from clones... Your moms can look healthy ...clone perfect...and you'll think all systems go... but when I refer to DUDS... you cant tell until you've flowered out the plant.. its around the 3 week mark into 12/12 you realize the plant is a DUD ..

Every strain reacts different to this BM Toxin... OG Kush is by far the clone that duds the most .... Start from seed ... you wont regret it .. clone game has taken a huge shit in Cali...

good advice storm shadow, i experienced a similar thing with the hemp russet mites... damaged plants were just that... damaged, permanently.

in addition to SAR for increasing plant immune responses, I felt like i had good results from harpin proteins.

i joined the bm party over a year ago they pretty much wrecked my last 2 grows after treating with neem oil ,heat treatment . predators mites.
So i shutdown for around 4 months . bombed the growspace heat treated , cleaned bleached
left dormant for months then repeated process .

Started from seed again and have used ogb foliar and into around week 5 and the little pricks are back.

Heat treating the plants as i write , feeling like i am pushing shit uphill atm. I possibly need to increase my rh when i apply ogb i sprayed them early on [week 1 or 2} then again 1 week ago

Does anyone know where i can get this kontos in australia? Having a hard time finding it ,seems like my last option left.

i just checked out bayers aust site and can get a product called movento which looks like it is classed a food grade product of kontos with 240g/l of spirotetramat as the active ingredient .
Movento is sytstemic is kontos the same? thanks for any help

From my research Movento is the exact same as Kontos but like you said its the commercial agro approved for fruit and veg version being at less concentration than Kontos the same way Oberon is to Forbid /Judo. I would still be carefull as any chem systemic has a relatively long residual in fact I could not get a straight answer when I talked to the manufacturer on the phone. There is some limitation regarding use for what they refer to as "Greenhouse transplants" and fruit bearing tree's. But i'm sure Storm will be able to help you in the chemical area. And I would say about your efforts so far is .You most likely got re-infested by some form of "Vector" bringing the mite back into the sterilized area if it was properly cleaned and OGB used.(I use a separate pair of shoes when I go to the grow store and keep them in the back of my truck not to transfer anything even into the cab of my truck)What I did was heat 4 hrs 120 degrees in empty flower room,did the same in empty mother room, grew from seeds, used OGB twice a week for three weeks ,then once a week for two months (while new mothers where growing) also did heat treatment a couple times on mothers 120 degrees for an hour , and finally OGB twice a month as preventive maintenance.Scope twice a week , clean now for one year. Ect,Ect,All the very best, and good luck.

I may as well add I had also put predator mite sachets (100 sachets) every month for three months in the outside areas and sprayed the few plants around the immediate area outside with OGB.

I really, really hate to say this but if your absolutely positive you have BM's again if it where me i'd start over and cut the loss's (time and money) having been through "DuD hell" a couple times.Sorry, I feel your pain.

Heat Treatments work... You just have to do it right...its a good kickstart to knock everything off while the Kontos does it systemic magic...

I'm growing a variety of all kinds of genetics right now...and I'll continue to post pics on my thread of ladies that have ZERO problems...

BM's can be defeated with ease.. You cant hide from Systemic Chems

Buying clones is a bad idea ...buy seeds... treat with kontos from day one... and enjoy the cruise control all the way to harvest

I have found that heat treatments, if done properly, ie., temperatures @ the canopy are dialed in, that no chemicals are necessary, as the heat treatments can be repeated if new mites are entering the room. Naturally, you need the equipment to do the job and must monitor temperatures and play around with it until you are dialed in. But to each his own. I would rather spend the time dialing in the treatment than buying chems. But that's just me.

This plant looked dead couple weeks ago due to broad mites. Other then 1 spray of zone it got plain ro sprayed daily and became lush. You can see some older fan leaf damage, but most old fan leaves i've removed.


I attempted the heat treat but only got to 97. It was so bad you could even see them crawling on the new growth without lens, yet there is no leaf spotting as you'd see for spider mites.

Ive added Aspirin and so far its done nothing but lower ph, and new growth that was aimed upwards is now laying more flat.

Sorry, no clue about costs .Seems like smaller amounts should be available on the web somewhere . I don't use chems. Plenty of people do. But I use all pretty much natural way and it works for me. Good luck.

Tons of disinformation in your post. I'm not going to waste time or space pointing out each wrong thing you posted, but suffice to say, you are WRONG. It most certainly IS possible to get rid of BM, by several methods, which has been proven by many here. Heat alone will get rid of them, as will OGBiowar, as will some chems, if you choose to use them. Personally, I am biased against chems, but if used properly in veg only, some peeps have had success with them, unless you believe all those people reporting success are lying, which I don't. You need to read the entire thread over again, if you even read it the first time.

You ARE a newbie, and have no idea what you are talking about. Heat alone will kill all mites. There are beneficial fungii, and there is bacteria on everything. after reading above link it seems kontos isnt nearly as effective on bms as avid or pylon or proclaim.
I havent gone chemical yet but fked if im gonna start again just cant bring myself to do it.I grow only veg indoors and flower outside.
To the peeps who had sucsess with kontos ,was that as a preventative or was that in already in a compromised grow?
