 I hear you. Fortunately a lot of my friends who are older like me either throw the parties or are the entertainers. I used to help run securty and some of the set ups before the events and tear down stages after them.

A friend just handed me a dvd of a Tiesto concert and an extra ticket to tonight's Tiesto concert. I have no experience in this type of performance. The music doesn't usually grab me naturally, but the dvd showed that lots of hot women are at his shows, so I figure it will be a nice way to ring in the New Year.

I actually felt an abundance of appreciation for the female attendees' " ;)" but i was not impressed with the music at all.
It sounded like an old Pacman video game in THX Dolby Surround with the volume cranked up to an abusive 6000 decibels. Way more irritating than entertaining.
Sure, we jumped/danced to the all too predictable music only to spend the energy we got from the cleanest ecstasy my friends & I had in a long time, but even with the serotonin floodgates wide open, the beer fueled fights breaking out in the audience miraculously diminished the enjoyment of grinding with a couple of beautifully proportioned women not half my age.
I didn't really expect to become a fan of the genres of music that Tiesto is known for & last night's NYE show did nothing to swerve my tastes.
I was far more impressed with seeing Massive Attack for $50.
I'm grateful to my friend for the ticket & experience of the Tiesto show but it wasn't worth a quarter of the $150+ ticket price.
Nonetheless, it's been a very happy New Year.
Hope everyone else is having a good time too. :D

Biggest problem of the night was all of my grey chest hairs that kept getting tangled as I spun my nipple tassels. :biglaugh:

Of course, I feel strongly connected with the rave scene. I always wondered if America's organized illegal teknivals / free party?
