This is an outdoor plant. I am going to be getting frost soon and mold is a constant worry here in the Northwest. How much longer should I wait?

It looks like the buds have not even started to fatten yet. From now , I would say 4 or 5 weeks , that is of course it is a regular 8 to 9 week flowering plant. If a sativa dominant strain, then it could be 2 months or more.......good luck and be patient with her

Yeah brother you got a long time to go on that one. That being said it doesn't look like a plant that will mold up easily. What strain is it?

Either way finishing her up before the first frost may be difficult.

It is White Widow. And yeah, I think it needs all the time it can get. First frost here is typically in about a month.

Put up a simple but effective cold frame over her. I like to take 3/4" pvc pipe and make 4 arches over the plant. Arrange the arches in a way so you can cove the plant in plastic but not having the plastic against the plant. Stabilize the pvc to the ground with stakes. Only cover the top portion of the plant as to allow air movement underneath the plastic. Meaning, don't pull the plastic all the way to the ground.

This covering will intensify the late season sun and protect the flowers from damaging frost. The cold nights will stress the plant and it'll get cronic!!! But it has to have plenty of sun. Keep feeding her Bloom formula for another couple weeks.

You won't get a huge yield but I love late season bud.

Good luck

By the way, air movement helps prevent botritis (bud rot) and powdery mildew from taking over. If its feasible, put a small fan by your plant to move the air around under the plastic.

It looks to me like your gonna push into november if you can make it that far. The top is showing some red hairs but the rest is mostly vigorous white hairs.

Strip out some of those fan leaves, maybe about half of them, to expose more of the lower buds to the sunlight.

The primary leaves around the canopy surface provide most of the photosynthesis for the plant. These are certainly the power centers for the entire plant.
However, The older leaves within the plant are secondary and removing these leaves will open up the plant allowing better air movement through the canopy and allowing better light penetration into the plant.
I'm a firm supporter of focusing all plant energy to the outer canopy by removing all interior growth including the wispy under-developing growth nodes.
But stripping the plant of its primary sun leaves will, in fact, hinder the plants ability to photosynthesize.
