The Kid just came by and inspected my plants, both hanging and growing.

The OG KushMango Haze is done to perfection in the milky range. The Gorilla Glue is nearing perfection, but still a few days off. ( The Buds are getting fat now)
The Big Mangla/Lax in the old orchard garden is ready to pick. It has a real weak shitty ugly structure, but the buds appear to be top shelf smoke, with mega trichomes.

All hanging plants are ready to clean now, Headband is like sparkle star weed. It looks white in a low light room.

:coffee: rise and shine campers!
look to be a tad windy today...think i will get the strawd and mental floss into cups today and do a little work on the veg room and get the giant swtc99 prepped for flower...

got to rack the bike up and get it cleaned off after yesterdays ride, good old GiGi is a dirty girl today:dancer:,gotta poke into her nooks and crannies, squirt some hot lube all over her....oh you like the brush dont you,you dirty dirty girl!

i love this time of year, just perfect temps, the flower room was 76/66 high/low and 31% rh last night,im not seeing anymore bugs in veg,had a few whiteflies get in,theres generally a few fungus gnats around, and i get a few thrips here and there...but now that summer is over that should all pretty much end...:tumbleweed:

Mornin Unc & the rest of you crazies :coffee:

theres still a 20 degree differential from the outside temps & the temps in the grow room . I think its time to go get a 6" fan for the intake & put it on a CAP temp speed controller . gotta get some cold air going in there . temps are actually pretty good ..... max of 85 & a low of 75 so far with lights blazing , but those daytime temps of 85 to 80 in the room even though its 60 to 65 outside need to come down a bit . once i get the differential a little closer ... I can slow the exhaust fan speeds down a bit to bring the room temps up to where i want them .

does this sound like the right thing to do guys ? or am i over thinking it .
I need some input thoughts before i go spend another 200$ on a fan & controller.

i realize once the weather drops the temps to freezing & below .... i will be tweeking things over again & will need supplimental heat up there , but i can then shut the 6" intake fan off & the differentail temps will help but .... right now i need some of that cold air inside ..... the passive intakes just aren't bringing enough air in .

Well I don't think 85 as a high is anything to be concerned with as long as it's fresh air.

If you are getting the same type of weather as I am it's unseasonably warm right now. I expect the bottom to drop out any day here. Kinda wishing it would so I can get a tent set up in the barn for testing seeds.

I got 6 SPG and 6 Sour Pineapple Kush that are just sitting around getting big, taking up room in veg. I've already topped them once and they are in need again. At this point I may just take clones and flower those out and keep the seed plant for backup.

So, the neighbor comes over the other day to tell me she's moving and could I keep an eye on her place.

She then says, "so you're insulating the grow room"?:shucks:

Gettin ready to throw some Steelhead in the sautee pan. Jasmine rice is steaming as are the purple carrots
Sounds good!

Well with my tomatillo and chile ripe I'll be hitting the farmers market for some heritage pork, maybe some Berkshire or Duroc. Get a nice butt to cube up and it will be Chile Verde time.

Your right ... 85 degrees is not a major concern . but the fact that theres still a 20 degree differential tells me that theres not much fresh air getting drawn in . if it were only a 5 or 10 degree difference .... i wouldn't worry about it cuz i'd know i was getting enough ..... dig it ?? :)

dan, just grab a 4 inch inline fan and screw the speed controller...

see,i told yah 2x6 inch exhaust and 1x6 inch intake:biggrin: not much difference between an uninsulated garage and an attic in many ways...

:smoker: where does the day go...

got all my seedlings into cups today, did a bit of pruning on the swtc99 going into flower tonight...first i will need to get the glue/cookie scrog harvested....thats going to be fun...getting the tent set up with lines and clothespins since i will have to take it down branch by branch...

got a set of aero bars on the bike, they were free, just needed new arm pads...which were not so free...30 bux for 2 little pads...looking at some new tires too..it looks like i can get a set of skinnier higher pressure tires with a smoother tread for road riding...trying to find a compromise between road performance and having enough tread to not die if i get run off the shoulder while pulling the trailer....guess i will get a pair and try em out...i can always carry a set of mountain bike tires if i want to go someplace where i want to ride off road once i get there, but a smoother road tire could save me a ton of energy on the more sedate on the road bits...

I think my main problem is , is my door is not sealed tight enough & my one filter is in the ceiling by the door & my exhaust for the lights goes through the wall at the peek right above the door . so its getting blown out into my veg area & getting sucked right back in through the doorway by the filter over the door .

i'm sealing up that door tonight & putting a 6" fan on the intake on the floor . the one in the ceiling i'll leave passive .

i got a 6" fan & i'll still have both intakes .... one will be passive & the other will be pulling cold air into the room from outside via 6" fan .

can't believe i didn't realize how much air was getting sucked back in from the doorway :wallbash: its the only spot in the room thats not sealed .... duhhh lol
i'm defeteing the whole purpose of passive intakes at the window by air being drawn from the doorway where my exhaust is .

Got to sample some of the Burkle and its definitely some of the best.. I use GG to judge other strains by. Burkle is just as impressive. There is a bit more trimming but dam the flavor and aroma are off the charts..She has definitely won a spot in my garden. thats 2 perm strains GG, Burkle. I just need to find 4 more strains that are of this caliber;)

I just put 4 more into flower that makes 6 plants flowering now. 2 Burkles 4 GG.. I have the Headband s1(daywrecker cut)still needs to be grown out to maturity and tested but from what I saw early on she could be another keeper we shall see. I have a bunch of cuts rooting as soon as there all rooted I will put the Mom into flower. All the seeds I poped have a tough group to go against.

Im waiting for the cleaners to arrive. They are going to pre-prepp the DayWrecker Headband, It is dried to perfection and needs to stop right where it is.There is too much for them to trim tonight, so they have to break it down, and put it in plastic bags. It looks like white sparkle balls under the dried shade leaves.Like Christmas ornaments or something It smokes real nice, even uncured. My son said last night that this plant is leaning heavy toward an OG pheno. Real strong weed for outdoor grown.

I threw together a casserole Lasagna today with some stuff I got at the Farmers market, along with some ground Angus beef. It has Eggplants, 3 type of zuchinni, sweet onions, celery, purple carrots, lassagna pasta, gray capers, pepperjack cheese, Parmesan, romano, asiago, fresh basil, thyme, and Oregano, EVO, and fresh Meyer lemon juice

picture.php

All of the veggies in my garden get roots organic or earth juice, no spray except spinosad

I threw the casserole in the oven, then went out and harvested the OG Mango plant. WOW! What a chore!
It was like harvesting a whole tent full of plants. Every branch was very heavy, and like a big plant all its own. Super Choice buds. Solid, and loaded with trichomes
