long story short.
wanted to say hi to everyone and introduce my self a little.

I am a young guy who recently came to live to finland. i landed in lappeenranta.

Was interested in weed and all such stuff last few years.
But now want to really try to grow.

At the moment still searching info and looking for the stuff i need to make a nice stealth box.

Bot this thread i made more for making friends.

because fuck my every days suck.
Sitting every even alone and especially week ends, this is practically how i ended up here.

i was searching some info bout weed laws in finland and found this nice place.

little bout my self : i do art, i like art, currently learn about buddhism ( but i don't stick to one religion, trying to get from every one a little of something good and positive ) and well there are so much things .

so basically if you are looking or feel like just talking with me, at least not about weed ( but i love it ) i will be super happy to talk with somebody )

so i will start with a first question.

Should I be very aware when buying all needed for making a box ?
i planned to make in several trips, and maybe from different places, ever time buy a little>

First what i planned is to buy a nice cfl lamp. But not those small 27w watts, was thinking more of 65+, even in the range of 85-125 with 2 different spectres. where is a good place to start ?

Ohh and have such things, that I don't longer need. Because in my case won't be able to do a nice stealth with them.

Those lights are good for medium grow boxes,
have both spectrums for veg and flowering.

Only those ballasts get hot, so i had to keep them in a distance from the box.

Hello and welcome man. Lappeenranta might not be THE spot to learn Buddhism but whatevs dude I wouldn't be too worried about buying DIY-stuff for your box. Cops have tracked grow shops but hopefully that's in the past now, also i don't think there are any growshops in LPR so you'll proly just buy from hardware stores and such. Grow in peace

About the buddhism, Dalai Lama said - You don't need no churches, no special places, no religios stuff, no temples, you are your own religion and true relegion is in yourself , your heart and mind. So.. I can even say that this place IS good for that thing )
First time I came here, I was lucky to find some little smoke, went to the lappeenranta saatama and fuckk... I was amazed with the nature, colors and everything.

Well I guess so I will build it my self. I have lights, today bought some, and slowly will try to start that project !
The problem for me is fucking I don't speak finnish, I understand a little because I know estonian well, but they are not so similar. But it helps a little )

Could I ask some help in future , if I need something to find or translate ?

Welcome from me too! If you are planning grow in closet you could go propably with 125w cfl, it dont get much heat, just above 27-28 celsius, or is this your stealth box something a little different?

Okay, than I will start with a question,
This is not a grow box, I will add things and better it up, ( the problem is I don't have friends in here, and just walking the street asking people like do you where i can get, isn\t bad, but somites can end badly )
So I dicided to grow a little plant, just to look where it goes.


what would you say so they look so far ?
i know it is very early to say something, buy if there is not plently of light, they will be growing tall, weak and so much leaves.

Yup, nope.

With that little light, i'd keep my lights as close to the plant as possible to keep it from stretching in the start. You will also need more of those CFL for a decent harvest. I did CFL grows in the past when i was still indooring my weeds. 1st with this:

but it was a bit big and bulky, so i went with a 250W cfl which i liked better:

Those are nice,
I'm planing a nice cfl, with nice stealth level growbox, I just have some hard time,being really hard with money.
Till a nice veg stage i think it's enough of my light, but sure in future need some better ones.

Did you get them through internet ?
Cuz I went to K-rautta, searched there, and i could find was a 30W 1940 lm, 2700K light.. the most powerful i could find there.
And reflectors are also bought, or self made ?

The reflectors are self made yea, the big one is from my friend who works at a spot where there's lots of spare metal parts around. And the smaller is just regular reflector metal, don't know what it's called in english, but i bent it myself and saved like 4 euros doing so Don't remember where i got it from, but the ballast and lamp are from a finnish (now defunct) grow shop.

planning to make a little grow box tutorial/report in the nearest month or 2.

yeah I want to take a start with cfls, know about their low temps, but nice light.
the heat is not a problem, as i got some super nice gaming computer fans, have 2 of them, but soon will get some reinforcements )
well.. at now i think to get a small night table ( or closet, or what eveer, but it will all similar ).

also if anyone knows a place where i can get some used-cheaper priced furniture that kind which I described above, would be very thankfull !


p.s - did anybody tried a carbon filter ? because the problem of smell if the biggest for me. It's a total NO NO at the place i plan to grow, but it is the only place I have. So i don't want to risk, don't even want it to the minimum, i want to get it to 0 )) know this is hard, but i'll try.

One solution would be with activated carbon at some sord of bag at top of box, fans blowing air through that carbon, that might help and its easy to execute, cant guarantee to work. :/

Yeah I was thinking about such idea :
Since I want a stealth grow box, the noise is also important to keep low. SO i need to gow with computer fans.
The ones I have are ACASA apache ( the blow sooo fuucking good ). Right now, i can feel how air moves in my room. Also the thermodynamical law allows you to make a more powerful outtake, the air intake can be just a hole, fresh air will be sucked in, if there will be no holes and cracks.
So what I was thinking to make a box ( not the tube alike filter ) but a box, that would fit to my fans, and one would like blow into the filter, the other will blow out the filter.

What You people think on that idea ?Only think is I need to get the right thickness of the carbon layer, so the air would not go through too slow and too fast.
