Having a hard time pronouncing that one. Thank you for the response. Looking it up on internet to see if there is info on it.
Heres a little info I found from a site..................
Some say it's ugly, some call it elegant, but we all agree it's unique. This heirloom pumpkin was virtually unknown in the U.S. until it was discovered at the 1996 Pumpkin Fair in Tranzault, France. The pumpkin is pink and shaped like a wheel of cheese, covered with beige scars or bumps that resemble peanuts, but are actually caused by sugar in the skin. When cooked, the flesh is sweet and very smooth. In France, it's traditionally used for soups and sauces, but it's also delicious fried in butter. The pumpkins weigh 15 to 25 pounds and keep for months.

That's an awesome looking pumpkin!
Recent rains postponed any efforts to start setting up the garden and also invigorated the peppers!
Regardless, fall is setting on and we had our first freeze.... I covered the peppers, but this season is over, and if I'm going to work the soil before its frozen, then it's time for a last harvest and turn it in for winter.

Good job on the eggplant and other fall veggies!
Lots of rain here as well. Just an early nasty fall so far. Gardening is a gamble as you all well know. Planted carrots, broccoli and cauliflower a few months back in hopes of a late fall harvest. So far not even a light frost so all is well. High of upper sixties lately.
In other news time has been spent harvesting pumpkins and potatoes. 10 gallons of reds out of the one row. We will see how many yukon golds I get out of the other row. Onions werent a big success but managed to get a half a five gallon bucket of reds and ate walla walla sweets throughout the summer. Really need to tune in my onion farming as I need better harvests to get away from buying them in the store all together. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Ive been cleaning pumpkins steaming them in pieces then separating the meat from the skins. Preserved 11 quarts of canned pumpkin, which should be plenty for this winter and perhaps next. I cannot express how much I love these strange warted pumpkins. They make the best pumpkin pies I have ever had in my life. Eat your heart out libbys! The seeds are easy to acquire through several seed companies including Burpee. Here are some pictures to illustrate how I process the meat off the pumpkins before preserving in quarts. This is a steamer juicer that I use for all sorts of things

What strain is the giant tomato? I am growing Endless summer and Super beefsteak this year.

I'm a pretty good veggie gardener, but I could learn an awful lot from you..
How the heck do you grow great brocolli, with tight heads like that, so far south? I'm at the 36 north lattitude, about 4 hours from the Miss. River, so I'm in the south too, and I've always had a problem with brocolli heads being all loose..
I'd like to ask you about your greenhouse, I like it a lot and want to built one similar in size and construction...If you have the time, please PM me...Thanks man,,,, Bud G.

Peppers are almost all up, dropped tomatoes, broccoli, cucumbers, and a few others last week!!!!
I'm certain to run out of room to actually grow all the seeds I've started,.... Don't care tho!!!! I've got containers to put em in!!!!!!!

hello, nice looking veggie gardens - i wish i have similar setup someday.
my mind was bubling question does anyone grow in same dwc,aero,dripfeed systems diffrent plants - i would like to grow chili peppers and few weed plants in same system, but not sure if the chili plants will let something out of their root system and cause imbalance in nutrients or ph levels, expensive seeds i got i would like to know some confirmation before putting them in same system.
