Get Baked and Go Fishing

I can walk out my back door and be fishing in 5 minutes. Went out last night to catch the last half hour of the day to try for a bluefish or two. There was a weird southeast wind last night that put the fish down. Didnt catch anything but a buzz.
Oh well. This thread is called Get Baked and Go Fishing, not Get Baked and Go Catching, right? LOL.

YUP =) Is that an ugly stick tiger rod? If so good choice, been my favorite rods for over a decade, not one failure with them bad boys. I pair mine up with Penn levelwind reels, a nearly indestructible piece of heaven in my hands ... may need to go fishin again this week for one last hoorah before winter really sets in ...

Hey Chill. That is an older Honey Lamiglas rod. Have had it since the late 70's. Its a little stiff but works well with heavier lures and is good for bait fishing with eels. Needed a new reel this year so I put a Penn Battle reel on it. The combo works well with ultraviolet Sten 17 lb. test mono.

Nice pics, Mr. Tasuri.

Thanks bro! I'm glad you liked.

You have a keen eye for photos bro, lovely shots ... now everyone get up off your rockers and go fish!!! Oh and don't forget the smoke ...

Yay! My secret is:

1. Smoke a joint
2. Go fishing
3. Smoke the second joint and have a beer
5. Smoke the third joint and drink couple of beers (lovely day)
6. Start photographing, you can't fish and ford anymore
7. Hahahah

----

Yesterday we went to fish sea trout at southern of Finland. Weather was perfect (Windy, rainy, foggy) but didin't catch any. We smoked like 5-7 joints and now I'm sitting at my desk. I have sooo big Liptons (tea bag company) under my eyes, that I need couple of hours to wake up to this lovely day (windy, rainy, foggy). I'm glad my boss is away hahah! Hey, where's my coffee???

Keep fishing and relax!

Had a bass fishing session at a local big damn and took a keen fishing mate for his first bass outing.. HAHA I was like keep your line taught bro, they'll be hitting your worm on the fall.. He looks at me blankly till I show him..Ahh, he goes and takes up the slack. Within a split second his rod doubles over and a fatty comes charging up, tail-walking and trying to throw the hook.. At least a 1.5 kg his first ever bass was. He was hooked and proceeded to outfish me haha..
10 Landed between us, 4 me and 6 my mate..four between 300 and 600g, four around the 800g to over kg size and 2 over 1.5 kg. All largemouth, no smallies although they are there and many, many more lost with thrown barbless hooks :). Not bad for an hour before sunset in about 50m of shoreline, we didn't even get chance to light up the prerolls till sunset when the monkeys started shouting at us.

Hi again!

We had great pike season, nice pikeperch and perch jigging season but seatrout wasn't for us. Anyway it's fun to fish seatrout because landscape is beautiful and the weather is rooough. You stand half in the ocean, waves and wind tries to fall you down and it's good if your fly/lure flies even 10 meters. That's ****ing extreme fishing! Love it. I'll upload a picture of that someday.

Last time I wrote something about cold and snowy winter, but it's not been like that. Plus degrees and raining keeps us still fishing the ocean before it's freezing. I allready miss ice fishing and when waiting to that, I show some images from my phone.

Wow a fishing thread.

Well fishing has been a great part of my life.I don't have the words to explain how I feel about fishing only that it Truely makes me feel centered and optimistic in all facets of life.

It doesn't make a difference what your fishing for or if your catching anything its the experience .
That being said I love to surfcast when I fish mainly for stripers. Fishing up to my waste in the ocean is crazy especially at night with a full moon.

Pond fishing for bass and ice fishing is a joy too.

Man I love fishing

went out last 2 days and caught fish both days. The male bass are starting to move to shallow water and defend their territory...pre spawn is going to start soon, fat females are going to start to come out of the depths. I think this year is gonna be great fishing :)
