i belive asians are bad drivers :)

Clearly PPG is inflaming racial tensions within Australia. As a group, guys, what can be done to prevent him posting such provocative stuff in future? send him to Thailand for re-education perhaps?

Hey Donald Mallard, did you have to clear that spot in the jungle or was there a natural clearing there?
it was cleared many years ago and lantana grew back in place of the jungle ,,
well until the jungle overwhelms the lantana ,
which it eventually will ..
i didnt clear it though,
just took advantage of the clearing ...

Oh ok, yeah I have come across some lantana recently, had no prior experience with it, good cover but leaves a trail as you push through it.

lantana can make great cover...in the past i have made tunnels through it and cleared the centre for plants. to hide the hole i would bundle up the cut off bind together and placed into the entrance of the tunnel....turns it invisible...

Pretty behind on the outdoors, didn't get a pic of the seedlings today.
About 8 popped out of 12...although one of the Aurora Indica fems is the most fucked-up little excuse for a plant I think I've ever seen.
They're all stretching pretty bad under the flouro and need to get outside asap.
(3 FMS C99, 6 Mandala Satori, 3 Nirvana Aurora Indica fems)

Went to Bunnings and got some soil and whatnot, decided against buying Bunnings pots as I thought I could get some from the local discount store - found some that were the perfect size, but no bloody drainage holes...will definitely get these little ones out by Saturday though.

Here's what I got for an early veg soil mix (crappy mobile phone pic alert):

Some premium potting mix, already amended with lots of stuff...had some perlite already, added vermiculite for shits and giggles (just for a lighter soil for the young roots)...another potting mix, with more amendments...and a bit of "Garden Lime" - Calcium carbonate or CaCO3. I meant to get dolomite lime which is CaCO3 and MgCO3 - Magnesium carbonate, mixed together. Oh well, should still be OK.

Didn't want to add anything other than what's in the potting mixes, should be enough for this stage of growth.
I really should have mixed some nice rich living organic soil earlier in the year which I could have used in flowering too...I'll probably recycle today's mix and add some other stuff like nutrient sources and water crystals - cause they'll need em - when they go into their big pots. Better late than never I suppose (motto of this year's grow :) )

Here's the mix sitting in an esky for the time being, waiting for the pots and the plants.

Sorry for the usual long post, should really start a diary...probably will soon. :blowbubbles:

I don't like to buy from Bummings ... but they DO carry a large range of stuff. Saibai, you might be short of Magnesium seeing as you didn't get Dolomite. but kelp should have Mg.
(hee, hee ... an organic grower here sent me a pack of dried kelp from a Taswegian beach so's I can make 20 litres of tea with Mg in it!)

Lantana is almost as important as Cannabis for me. I prune it ... shape it ... and cultivate it.

A portion of my garden goodies always gets given to the lantana plants that shield my garden (oops, hope Sergeant Plod is not reading this). a bit of chook poo, lotsa mulch and the occasional water makes for a very dense screen indeed!

Nice work there Saibai mate :good: and yes bro it's better late than never to start on your outdoor, I'm in the process of picking up some more soil and amendments myself for a few late starters, as I'm trying to harvest as many plants as possible in pots an light dep within this 6mth growing/flowering window I have available to me.
My plants won't get very big but I hoping that with more plants I will end up with a better/bigger harvest than I would with just 5 females left to do their thing for 6mths or more, I had plants in the ground for 9mths last year and after all that stress an gray hairs from helicopters an rippers the harvest was frigging pathetic an not worth the pain an agony I went through :nono:
So it's pots an light dep this year to see if I can get up over the 1# mark, which has been eluding me now for a few years, I don't recommend growing ganja in suburbia as the variables are too great and the stress is through the frigging roof :yoinks:

Sat: Thanks mate. That kelp sounds nice!

Boom: Cheers. I might germ some otheries to make up for the ones that didn't sprout, encouraged by your words. I really would like some more Satoris, and got a selection of freebies, bagseed and some Chemdog DD x Hashberry seeds from last year to choose from.

all this talk of planting ... I 'm itching to get going but we're having the weather from hell ... and I can't find my Indica seeds either. was going to plant some of them in light deprived conditions so's I 'd get some early smoke, but ...

Mock me if you like, Noydie, but the above is why I need to weave baskets. it's very therapeutic!

"end rant", eh bOOm? still stressed? I say: not furkin easy this nicotine withdrawal ...
