You don't need that much light. You are probably okay throwing 92w at it -- but half of that will be better at seedling stage.

The instinct to want to do something is pretty great right now, but... resist the urge. Let nature take its course.

Especially at the beginning, growing is mostly a lot of... waiting.

You can't have too much light. The more light, the less they stretch, and the thicker the stems. As long as temperatures are under control, you want as much light as possible. I start seedlings under 1000 watt metal halide. In nature, seedlings start under the sun. Recommending less light is just wrong.

10/6 Sunday Day 14 from seed

I top feed the dwc bucket twice today. Heres how she's looking. My ph went up from 5.7 to 6.5/6.6 so i ph down my res back down to 5.7. My ppm is at 320

The reason the seedlings stretch is to get more light. You can give them more watts of course, but those lil cfls should be enough. Just bring them a bit closer and watch out for the heat.
You dont need the humidity dome over them once they're up and growing - not unless you're in a really dry place.

I got not experience with rockwool or DWC so cant add answers about that stuff.

First grow and you're off Man. It's gonna be a fun ride for you, maybe a lil scary at times but you'll love it. Good luck and enjoy it. I'm gonna pop by from time to time to watch.

Monday 10/7 Day 15 from seed

Still no roots comming out the net pots, hopefully soon. Iv just been hand feeding with the res solution every 8 hours. Heres some pics from this afternoon

I transplanted my second rock wool cube in my other DWC bucket. I added 2ML of Floramicro, Floragro, and Florabloom. I phd my water to 5.6 and my ppm is at 248

Thursday Day 18 from seed

top feed small dwc plant . ph was 6.4 ph downed to 5.7

big dwc ppm 370 ph 6.0/6.1

I accidentally unplugged the air pump so the bubbles off from 1:30pm-7:30pm on accident.

The bigger dwc plant had some new growth today

Both dwc buckets. I have the other GDP (Fox farm ocean forest) in a humidity dome on top of the shoe boxes. She's slowly showing some new growth also

Quick questions

-When topping off my res do i add just plain phd water? (im using tap water for my grow)

-When doing my res change do i fill it up to the same spot i had it before? (iv had mine about a half inch away from the net pot)

Your seedlings look much better now. Yeah just top it off with plain water and then pH the whole system. And 1/2" from the net pot is a good place to be. Your plants will tell you when to increase the PPM of the solution. You will see it when you PPM meter shows that they are using a lot more nutes.

Thanks, i noticed the new growth is nice and healthy/green. So far so good. I just did my first res change today and i have a line on my drain tube to let me know how far to fill up my bucket and its marked at about 1/2 inch away from the net pot

How Often are you Planning on Changing the Water Btw?
I use to Change the Water Probably Weekly until the Roots became Abundant then Every Few days(?).

I was planing on changing the water every 7 days to play on the safe side
