IC Bugs

Not sure where this thread should be, but it is organic. I want to buy some predator insects, especially A. Cucumeris. I have found ICbugs.ca. They seem to be credible, and in Canada. Anyone ever deal with this company? What kind of shipping? Is it discreet? Any info or feedback would be great. Thanks.

If anyone is wondering, I ordered from ICBugs. They were honest and fair, but not very discreet. I am glad I used a safe address, but this company is credible.

Hey moses, sadly I seem to have my annual summer thrips invation. This time I just didnt want to use pyrethrins quite yet. I have even thought of Spinosad. I have a tent of females flowering and can't spray for atleast 5-6 weeks. The real problem is making sure my 50+ keeper mums and dads are safe until then. I know Dr Doom foggers have worked in the past. I just hope my little Cucumeris army has its way with these thrips this time. I hate spraying plants or fogging, and the plants hate it too. I released 50000 A. Cucumeris almost 2 weeks ago, so far the thrips are still very abundant.I might order more Cucumeris. I was hoping with predators, I could keep my 2000w perpetual garden going, but I might have to stop flowering.

I Seem to recall Moses posting about hypo apsis miles for thrips. The. Beneficial mite lives of the leaves, so you will still need to do something for the soil pupa, like nematodes

I just use neem oil as well as botanical teas including garlic, lavender, and jalapeño force foliage and neem and karajnja meals for soil...have not seen thrips since

I have tried neem on thrips and it never seems to work alone. Thrips from where I live are the worst of all bugs we get around here. Neem is great stuff for spider mites, but the Thrips are pretty tough. I am really interested in seeing if the predator bugs work. Bugs vs Bugs sounds awesome, does it not? I just hope my bugs win hahahah.

I've had good luck with beneficials. The way to wipe thrips out is to break the life cycle by drenching, rather than spraying. Spinosad is safe, but you don't have to spray the buds. Good luck. -granger

Thirp boards work well to stop an infestation and monitor theri lifecycle. they are drawn to the blue color according to research.

Hey Al thanks for the info , I have only ever seen yellow "sticky sticks" but, I will look for those blue thrips traps. Anyone have any info of A. Cucumeris? I started this thread about bugs. I have dealt with thrips before and am aware of many spray, soil drench, dip, and fog treatments. I am interested in learning to control Thrips with Cucumeris. Thanks
