snype, I just talked to don and he asked me to have you delete all the pics he's posted for security sake...what may be posted by him is certainly for the sites enrichment...he asks for the respect he so rightfully deserves and wishes for his photos to go away...not deleting HIS pics is a direct security threat to him so please delete all his works...thanks for your understanding in this matter
I will respect his wishes because he was pretty valuable but people need to think before they post logs.
When a person posts things on the internet, they need to understand that it can be floating around the internet for the rest of eternity. In fact they should expect it to be so they should only post what they are comfortable posting. Especially when your grow is as good as Dons. Plenty of people copied that and it could end up anywhere on the internet without your consent, but the consent was given when it was posted up on the internet freely.

I'll tell you the worst part of this. When information that knowledgeable comes around it is more rare. A person who shares that usually wants to help people with that knowledge. If a person deletes that information, they usually don't give out information of that caliber in the future even when their potential problems go away. So the people who lose are the community as a whole. Maybe Don will be different and he will come back to share good information when the time is right so we will see. But in the future, I'm not deleting the information again. The point of that information was to help people or he wouldn't have gotten so detailed with it. So now to help 1 person, you have to hurt the whole community who trusted that the information would still be there to guide them and it is not. I mean what if he got banned instead. All the pictures and information would still be here and no one could do anything about it. Hopefully we still get more future information out of him or it really would show that deleting the information was the wrong idea for the greater good of the community itself.
you seem to take this personally...he asked me to relay his wishes and it now seems you are demonizing the man...posts like the ones you have posted will most likely dissuade don, myself, and others from posting our grows due to you feeling it's fine to not honor the wishes of the poster/grower...if you feel good about posting his stuff that a decision you will live with...me, I'd smile and walk away
I'm not taking it personally at all. It's really not a big deal to me. I just say how I feel at the time and move on. I really think this is some straight nerd shit to be honest.
mebbe one day when you are able to see the big picture you'll not make such a big stink about trivial things such as this...the man asked for his pics to be deleted and here you are ranting about your right to view and post them...kinda selfish to me but what do I know...

I agree that this type of info was very helpful; and even educational (for me at least) and know that i wasn't trying to cause a stir but respond to your question of how everyone would feel about reposting DJM's material so i was just sharing thoughts is all.
But i learned a lot from a previous disappearing thread and started copying them myself including this one as well as tuts.

If you are sharing, never mix virtual life with real life. Bad idea (if you are paranoid even worst).

I did one really good run, but doing PPK now and the growth is so much faster.
Don't get me wrong, i loved the flock, but it was much more maint. for me
I'd like to request for someone to recreate this thread with the information any of you saved. Some of you said earlier that you copied the earlier information that is now missing?
I just finally decided to click on this thread for the first time, and it was failure seeing that first page with all the blank posts. I just read the last few pages and figured out what happened, and I'm disappointed now. Apparently I missed the flockwool boat.
So, I vote someone starts a version 2.0 thread, who's with me?

DJM no longer grows in flock, he has switched over to strictly coco grows and has expressed the issues with growing in flock to being root rot. If you'd like to see how his grows are doing now check him out on IG where he is still offering up advice and answering questions, he is under the same name
