DWC Connoisseur Genetics GrandDoggyPurps

This is my first DWC grow, i plan to run two 5 gallon DWC buckets and one plant in soil (Mother) My grow tent is 4x4x6.5 and for veg i will be using 4 23 watt CFLs 6500k and for flower i have a 600 watt ipower hps air cooled hood. Im a new grower so any tips or help would be appreciated.

Lets get started...

I germinated my 3 feminized seeds Friday 9/20 and on Sunday 9/22 i seen the taproots

Then i soaked my rockwool cubes in tap water ph'd to 5.5

Then i threw the rockwool cubes and one soil cube (fox farm ocean forest)in the dome and under the cfls. Temps are around 72 degrees and RH is 86%

So now im just waiting for the seedlings to sprout. Do i have to mist the rockwool cubes or anything?

This strain is the danky!!! Hopefully you got the burnt rubber pheno

Don't mist just leave it alone til it feels like its starting to dry out..... STARTING

Thanks! Iv read nothing but good things about this strain and CG in general. This is my first DWC so i hope all goes well. I checked them this morning and i seen they sprouted!

Do i have to dip the rockwool cubes in water or anything or just mist them? I read a few posts where you should dip the cubes in water so the roots will go down searching for water/food

Update Day 5 from seed. Starting to stretch a bit. I had a few questions

x5xo44.jpg

1. How long untill i transplant into my dwc buckets?

2. Do I have to dip the rockwool cube in water or mist the rockwool? (first time using it)

3. When putting water into the dwc bucket do i have to pour the water in the bucket then ph down the water (im using tap) then add the nutrients?

-One root started to pop out of one of the rock wool cubes. I put in 2 more cfls so i now have 4 23 watt CFLS 6500k

-Rockwool felt dry Rewet both rock wool cubes (dipped half way in tap water ph'd to 5.5 for a couple seconds)

-I also put a cup filled with water inside the humidity dome. I put one of my airstones in the cup and my humidity is now 90-99%

You don't need that much light. You are probably okay throwing 92w at it -- but half of that will be better at seedling stage.

The instinct to want to do something is pretty great right now, but... resist the urge. Let nature take its course.

Especially at the beginning, growing is mostly a lot of... waiting. :)

Tuesday 10/1

-One of the rock wool cubes has roots popping through the bottom of the cube. The other ones doesn't have anything yet. Is that normal or should i just be more patient? And how long should i leave them in the dome before they go in the dwc bucket?

Roots poked through the other rockwool cube this morning! Ill get some pics up later. There a bit stretchy but other then that they seem healthy :)

Friday 10/4 Day 12 from seed Transplant

I transplanted the rock wool cube with more roots into the 5 gallon dwc bucket

My ppm of my tap water measured at 160 and my ph was 7.9

I added a teaspoon of Floramicro, Floragro, and Florabloom to my res. After i added the nuts the ppm measured 565 and ph 6.9. I added GH ph down to get the ph to 5.7. I rinsed the hydroton 3-4 times to get all the dust and everything washed off the pellets. I then placed one layer of hydroton on the bottom of the netpot and put my rockwool cube on that first layer and put more hydroton around the rockwool to cover it up and support the stem. Heres some pics of the process
