Iffy, try the humic acid from viresco.co.uk,works out much cheaper and is higher quality form of humic.
Try ringing them as prices are different for us brits, got 500g of the granular humic for a little over what it would of cost for 200g on-line.

Hi Jaded1,
Thanks for that dude, I just had a look at the website & it looks like a professional outfit.
Do you currently use their product? How much of it do you use, in your experience and are there any practical problems with it's use i.e. Residue that might block drippers etc.?
Do you grow in soil or hydro?
Look forward to your response & thanks again for your input :tiphat:

I have used the soluble stuff(as your hydro i guess this is what you would use)but mainly as a foliar spray so not really sure on doses for you.I used to use 1/2ml a litre once a week.

I also use their fulvic, which i think would suit your needs better that the humic.Stuff is strong though so again not sure on what kind of doses in hydro.I add 1 capsule to 2 litres of water and use once a fortnight.

Humic/Fulvic Acid

Humic/Fulvic Acid

Hey Iffy, what do you use this humic for and how do you use it?

Hi Harry,
I've been using AN's Ancient Earth for this grow, I've used Vitalink's Humic before too with similar results. IMHO, if you grow in soil - it's a MUST have additive. Helps with your plants health in so many ways from nutrient uptake to increased photosynthesis to name but two. It's basically ancient organic deposits, usually mined in the form of Leonardite. However, there are other, some say better ways of acquiring Humic & Fulvic acids.
All I know is, since I started using it my plants have never looked so green, vibrant & healthy. Even through the recent heatwave - not a single yellow leaf - anywhere! I can't say enough about the stuff mate but have been looking into cheaper ways of bulk buying but you got to get the right stuff. I've got some on order & I'll let you know how I get on with it if it's of any interest.
Nice to hear from you again Harry, take it easy buddy & happy growing :tiphat:

Hi Jaded1,
I got a quote for Humic AS & Fulvic and ended up ordering two packs of each. I reckon by making it up in batches for each res change, it will be a fraction of the cost of buying in a proprietary ready mix like Ancient Earth.
Thanks again for the heads-up Jaded1, should save me a few precious quid over the year.
I feed it continually throughout the grow. When I've added it at res change, the nutes are black like Guiness! Next day it's virtually clear again. They absorb it so readily.
Stay safe & happy growing :tiphat:

Hi Fruitilicious,
Na the ordinary humic won't dissolve, you have to get the AS as you say. That is lovely stuff and I've got a batch mixed up ready to go. I use the granular in my mothers, as they're growing in soil.
Stay safe & happy growing :tiphat:

They do sound similar but the symbio doesn't give the % of humic and fulvic acid in the powder so cant be sure if it's any cheaper.
Most of these types of product are a lot weaker than the viresco gear is but you never know!
I've just made an order and got a kg of coarse humate and 50 capsules of fulvic for £36.40,a kg of the powder costs £12.50 if you ring them, compared to £35.50 if you shop on-line.

thats a great price, ive email symbio to get the technical breakdown of the product so will let you know waht the % are. next time il order il ring them for sure.

Qucik question, i havent ordered the caps as it says there is a good % of humic and fulvic aicd in the powder, how come you use both?

To be honest,i could most probably do without the humate granules as i have plenty of humic content in my soil but it does add some fulvic but imo not enough.
The fulvic part is the part that does all the work.

I've been mainly using the caps when i make a barley seed sprout tea(enzymes)as is supposed to have a symbiotic effect.

just got email back from them:

Powdered Fulvic
Fulvic Acid 80% (w/w)
K2O 12%
Moisture ≤3%

Liquid Fulvic
Fulvic Acid 30% (w/w)
K2O 0.5%
Stabiliser

didnt get info on the powdered humic but guessing its the same %. seems like an even better deal to me!

5kg tub of powdered fumic is £100! 10kg tub of humic granules is £100! haha thas more than i could ever use tho but such good value! :)

fulvic is what you want and make sure its a good quality one, there are loads of different kinds and a lot of inferior products... In the states they rave about http://www.bioag.com/ and its probably worth checking out their website to read around a bit.

worth mentioning that a good base nute will have humic and fulvic inside already, like canna.

Nice 1 fruity, that fulvic looks to work out a lot cheaper than the viresco gear.

gonzo, viresco sells bioag products, not sure if it's their company or they just sell their products.
