Nice, you put all those things in the bike basket? I should figure that out, I guess attach a basket to the back of the hoppers seatt. I have a bunch of hanging baskets, maybe I could fashion them hmmm, at least just for foraging purposes. You have me all inspired to sort through the camping gear now. Though camping season is over here if you don't like getting rained on (which I don't care too much about)

Pappy, I can see what you mean about root aphids showing up since there is a magnesium deficiency. Good luck with that. I have the gnats so I could find out they are aphids any day. Still trying to. Do more research an Improve my garden. Unc hav you had the root aphid before? Just wondering

Nice thread btw

lol, probably,im a tiny bit high right now...yeah,8 foot ceilings, turning down the big ones isnt going to be as efficient i would think in the long run and i already know i like the eye blue bulbs as a spectrum filler.i also figure having a 2 lamp system with the 1000w halide and another gavita 600 in veg would give the plants a chance to harden off to the light in a gradual way.and a plus with the gavitas is as soon as its legal i go outdoors to a greenhouse the gavitas will be perfect for that application as well...if i can get this set up and have all my card stuff dealt with i can shift to mainly vending to patients since i know im way cheaper than the dispensaries and the law allows for one patient to "give" their excess to another patient who is allowed to give money to cover for cost of production, and since im about half what the dispensaries charge for much much better quality theres a nice grey area built into the laws...as long as its less than 6 oz its all quasi good!
but in the meantime,i will get a couple greenhouses set up and do organic herbs and tomatoes in the off seasons when the prices are good, plus the woodworking shop all set up and going, get incorporated, buy the house.....and then....i ride my bike....

no to the root aphids,in general i have very few bug problems indoors,i have a few fungus gnats here and there,i know theres some thrips in the flower room, had a brief visit from whiteflies this summer, got mites once, lost half a crop to them....but over all nothing really awful, even the mites only took 6 weeks to be rid of...most of the time i would rate my bug problems as so minor i dont feel any need for action or any spraying aside from silica blast and maybe some azamax once or twice in veg...

one word,kick ass trailer..

Doc those are some amazing plant man really impressive!!

your plant looks really nice.... i just got the hb cut recently .... does yours color?
im told the hb gets red...
It gets some reds and purples on the spiral leaf in colder conditions, but no colors that penetrate into the bud.
Thanks for Your compliment.

Nice, I can imagine that loaded up with plants and Rollin. What a classy trailor with a kickstand. Even with a trailor like that I would still need to majorly downsize my camping gear to make load up and go that way. Definitely food for thought. I need to go check on my bike that it isn't getting drenched right now.

Some really nice bud shots and stuff up in here, what a pleasure it is to lurk.

Oh and for the aphids, I would choose a magnesium source that is not mostly salts, such as basalt or glacier dust. They work best when pre mixed but also worked when top dressing.

I top dress to prevent harmful insects in the garden

There is also a lot of magnesium in neem and karanja meals and they are more water soluble so can be used to make magnesium rich tea. Plus much of the other elements to the table.

What up unc, was just about to post a help question about thrips and saw you have felt with them, I have really clean rooms and usually don't deal with any bugs at all, in fact I have even had to do precautionary spraying wich is awesome, anyways I got a nice case of thrips that spead kind wild fire and I can't get these lil bitches under control. I sprayed with SNS 203 for a couple weeks and they seamed to like it! It was like steroids for them, then I doctor doomed them (red can for thrips) it didn't do anything other than make all my moms look shabby and burned some leave which I don't care for at all, now I'm back to the 203 again trying to do this as organic as possible. Do u have any segestions ? HELP

spinosad for thrips....
90% of not having pest is sterile cleanliness and having your room atmosphere kept in conditions the bugs dont like, most of which comes down to ventilation and keeping the air in the room constantly mixing and moving.
and keeping your plants in tip top health also reduces bug problems, they simply arent as attracted to healthy plants...

oh yeah, dont forget to rinse your plants well after spraying anything on them, too many things on the leaves causes pore blockage and sometimes the chemicals will interact in unwanted ways, sometimes the best thing you can do is take the plants to the shower or someplace you can really spray them down with water..put a garbage bag over the pot and twist tie it to the stem so you dont make a mess but a good shower with cool water will often get the bulk of the critters gone...

:yummy:....mmmmmmm,that looks like home! try bacon wrapped chili stuffed skirt sometime....

:plant grow: got the 4 plants i got yesterday in the ground,a texas mountain laurel a blackfoot daisy a mexican primrose and another cluster of autumn glow grass, forget its proper name...the last good soaking we got really got everything looking sharp and well established, theres plenty of moisture trapped in the sand so the plants should all be rooting out strongly now with the cooler temps.

plus its cool enough to convince me to start popping seeds...first up strawberry diesel...:dance013:

Afternoon Gents

Afternoon Gents

Went and sat with my Pops at his church this morning. There are some pretty girls there. That one that held my hand before is married and now has her husband with her. Oh well. They seem pretty nice there, not all stuffy and judgemental. And they have tons of food and drinks. Tables full. Everything! Bagels with all kinds of cream cheese, all fruits, doughnuts, pastries, cookies, cakes, fudge, pies, all flavors of coffee, tea, juices. I sat in the courtyard and had coffee with Dad and another guy. Also had a cinnimon doughnut and a fancy tiny cake.

If the word got out about this weekly sweetfest, all the stoners in town would be showing up for church, reeking of Herb :D

I usually ride every night on the days i dont have to work. The dogs get excited and always want to go. The male loves to pull a bike, real hard, and at an extended high speed. After 2-3 miles, he runs along side the bike and I begin to pedal.

i have been trying to take the long way round whenever i go out to do errands, when i went to the hardware store this morning i went 10 miles out of my way before i even turned towards the store, same thing just now,the best buy is only a couple miles but i rode 5-6 miles in the opposite direction of home and did a big loop that took me up a mile or so of climbing...there was a couple of smokin babes on bikes by the uni...need to ride down there more often...i know the cyclist hang at the coffee shop, and i know theres a womens cycling club that does rides a couple of times a week....i will have to make sure out paths cross more often....roadies are too serious in general,i love buzzing by on my steel beasty fat tire monster,i did get pretty casually dropped by a guy on a road bike while i was towing the trailer...once we started the uphill climb he gained ground the whole time,on the flats i was staying with him at least, but he wasnt really getting after it...

Ill show you some fun on a bike when you stop by here on the way to Alaska.

There is nothing like racing the cable cars, packed full of tourists, up and down the hills of SanFrancisco. There are some really steep hills there. Id get ahead of the cable car, then hit a hill I couldnt climb in low gear because my chest hurt and I was breathing so hard. Id be slow jogging with the bike, and here goes the cable car past me, everyone yelling to me, that they were going to beat me to the station a few miles away.

Id get to the top of the hill and the cable car was way gone. Id start flying down hills on the Mountain bike passing cars, in the middle of the main street, running red lights, and jumping intersections like you see cars do in Dragnet. I flew past the cable car, slapping hands with everyone on that side of the cable car. They were hooting and hollaring. I picked up my Canondale, threw it on my shoulder, went down the stairs into the underground, and collapsed into a nice padded train seat, with my bike along side of me. The train goes in a tube under the Sanfrancisco Bay, comes up near oakland and I get off after a little nap in Dublin. Throw the Bike in my truck and continue to relax all the way home.

I almost forgot. I always race across the Golden Gate Bridge on the west side, facing the ocean. Its kind of creepy if the wind is up, because the bridge actually sways. And the fence isnt so high when your up on a bike looking over it. I slow way down when I manuever around the beam supports. Cause it scares the shit out of me. I dont like heigths.

And then theres Lombard Street :D

im hoping for a nice strawd male and i still have 5-6 sssdh that im going to pop soon, those could be fun crosses...

for sure cali will be its own separate trip since i could spend a month or more easily just in cali, heck, even the rides i want to do in this state could occupy me for a long time...shit,what am i talking about,i still need to make the first camping trip, lets not start talking about 2000 mile rides before i do even a single 100 mile day! lol
pretty close now,the garden is getting to the point where i can leave it overnight and i have a couple people i would trust to garden sit for me since its not so complicated anymore....
one turn of the pedals at a time...im way fitter than i was 10 weeks ago,got the bike pretty well dialed in,feel good about my ability to repair it,got a solid on-bike repair kit,i will have the last of the camping gear by next week, the weather is near perfect now....time to make some circles...
