Found larvae on my plants.
Did not get hip to it until the Larvae became an invasion.
Treated it one night with NEEM Oil
Thought it was enough.
Wasnt.
Found evidence under selected leaves 2 mornings later.
Killed 2 of 6 plants
Treated them again focusing on the underside of the leaf.
Seemed to be gone
Not
1 week later checking some wan looking leaves near the bottom of the plant, I found larvae.
Killed 2 more plants
Neem oil that night.
2 types of larvae
One, the white ones, were the same I had been pursuing had returned.
the black ones seemed to be new but may not be, maybe I just hadnt seen them.
2 plants left, younger- 9wks old, seemed to be healthy, dark green leaves, started numerous kolas, no signs of larvae. Nice looking plants.
The strain has been very, very good to me.
But they seem to have stopped growing.
Just sitting there.
In Coco (no soil but not hydro), Canna nutes, 2-400 watt HPS.

determining what type of bug it is would help. Fungus gnats are common and one of the easier insects to deal with. They are no reason to kill a plant.

tHERE ARE AT LEAST 3 DIFFERENT TYPES OF LARVAE
I dont know how to identify the type

There are sticky threads in the "Infirmary" section with pictures and info on most of the common problem insects affecting mj. That would be a good place to start.

like ron said, all the bugs are shown in the infirmary section and can be dealt with without plant extermination, theyre pretty common problems..identify what youve got and theres a method for getting rid of it, neem being the least effective imo

Neem is a cure all for mites, root aphids, and PM (when used regularly and allowed to become systemic)

However, some critters are pretty much immune to it. Thrips and fungus gnats being the two main pest bugs that come to mind.

Pics of your problem bugs will help the most with propper diagnosis and cure.

to reiterate every poster in here, you need to identify your pest to get accurate info, i use floramite, avid, gognats, azamax which is neem based, mosquito dunks, bayer complete(imid),green cure, nematoads, ill try mighty wash soon im sure, depends on the pest and the stage of plant growth...when i say neem was ineffective for me it was due to having to reapply over and over, i can get the job done in 1-2 sprayings rather than having to continually reapply
