If they are just ripping off other companies formulas they should be charging a hell of a lot less than half.

The markup is outrageous compared to the price of the salts and counterfeit stuff should always be far, far cheaper than the real thing.

hey, I'm affiliated with Greenleaf Nutrients. Don't want to make it sound like an advertisement because I know the forums have advertising rules.
Basically, as stated we reverse engineer other company formulas. There are several nutrient making threads on this forum that show you how to do this, if you know how to do it, I encourage you by all means! For those who don't want to do this, we offer the option of doing it for you, and you can save a good deal of money from the hydro store (our prices include free shipping).
So, as stated, our formulas are reverse engineer, in some cases its simply, in other cases its more complicated. For example, Advanced Nutrients B52 products, contains NPK, humic acids, kelp, B Vitamin and amino acids off the top of my head. We include all the ingredients in product list.
Also, "Bud Candy" contains multiple extract plant/fruit extracts, Amino Acids, carbohydrate sources etc... We do include these. Also, their "Big Bud" product contains 18-20 different L-grade amino acids, and yes we went out of our way to get all these as well. We even have Yucca extract for the product that calls for that.
So, basically if you can make your own formulas that's fine, if you don't have interest or time to do so, Greenleaf provides them shipped securely and privately to your door for less than half the price of big name costs. Also, since we aren't shipping heavy liquid across the country it helps conserve energy/gas/pollution as well.
We are working on building a photo gallery of user submitted photos, and photos only using these nutrients. Its slowly coming along, but you can view it here

Our prices are setup so the company does make a profit, however as we give free shipping as I mentioned above, the prices are less than they seem. For example, 1 Liter of AN "Sensi Grow" formula costs $11.50, now over $5 of that cost is shipping/packaging, so the actual cost is only $6.50 for a Liter. I don't think its too bad, this treats 125 Liters of nutrient solution, so for the small grower, this would last quite a long time. Our larger sizes also offer much discounted prices as well, and finally, we are starting to use "1 part formulas" for our base nutrients. This eliminates the need to use "part a" and "part b" so I think it greatly simplifies the growing process, simply adding 1 part to your reservoir, and having all the NPK, calcium, magnesium, iron and all trace elements in 1 shot specifically geared towards growing (medical) cannabis.
The idea for the company started about a year ago, when I was learning to do custom formulations and simultaneously I went unemployed when my entire company basically went under that I was an employee with for 6 years.

Dry salts make sense in many ways , saveings in packageing and transport and indefinate shelf life , an envelope through the letterbox is equivalent to a pallet of watered down salt.
Its as easy to weigh out salts as to measure wet nutes by volume , some wet products will oxidise and degrade once openned , local growers seem to be throwing a lot of stuff away half used.
One UK line of wet nutes years back was useing standard chempak hydro salts with some extra mg , they had no complaints , only difference between parts A and B was a drop of food dye in one.

Thought I would bump this to the top as I have become a big supporter of this company. Not sure why more people aren't using their mixes. And the customer service is great. I have used many of their products (not all). At this point I use nothing but their Lucas mix and some Stress zym+. I have used other lines but for the price this is the best deal going.
And no I am not part of this company. Just like to support things I believe in.
