Need Help with Advanced Nutrients MEST

My Advanced Nutrient Mother Earth Super Tea has a ammonia smell to it. Is this normal or is it old (no good) already ? Also have humic acid product with the same smell.

You won't find much love for AN around these forums dude - but Advanced Nutrients is icing on the cake in this bakery.

I don't recommend calling - learn on your own - buy a new bottle and smell that. compare - maybe use the old bottle on one plant a clone to test its quality...

I had the same issue with the tea and called their tech support, they recommended I take it back.

Odds are that it has been sitting on a store shelf for too long. Probably not Advanced Nutrient's fault. Take it back to the retailer you picked it up from and make sure you get a bottle with less dust on it. Grab from the back, that's the freshest bottle.

If you do call advanced they can probably track the batch number labeled on the bottle to let you know when it was bottled.

mother earth tea has such a good smell to it, like it smells like lipton tea instant powder. the veg not as sweet as the bloom..

do you have clean practices for dosing? I always suspect people are spoiling there nutes with bad practice, but who knows.

I would water the lawn with it, or any outdoor plants you have, as that's some good nutrient there.


I'm actually using this on coco, and it's very very nice. my instincts tell me it's as good as the iguana, and cheaper.. I'm adding epsoms and a Ca product to it, as I would suspect it's low in that, and being for peat, and being mainly "organic" ..

Hey thanks for the advise guys I stop using it and went out and pick up a new bottle. Yeah its a great product cause the 3 weeks I went with out it I started getting deficiencies in my plant.
