Heath Robinson's V3 aquafarm/RDWC

Ok, so I've brushed myself off after a disappointing Jock Horror grow in my first tree/vert/RDWC grow and have a Skunk #1 in at the moment.

Soooo, preparations are afoot to replace the JH tank and I have decided to use the V3 (from Heath Robinson) mother bonsai plant I have. Heath pulled some monster trees using this strain and a good veg period, so fingers crossed for a least a better yield than the JH.

In a 1m2 tent under a power plant shade with 400w MH bulb. Transferred it from CFL lights middle of last week. This is it after two days under the MH bulb. I'm going to give this a good veg time and see what happens.

I'm using Growth Technology Ionic Hard Water Grow and then Bloom. I use these because I can get them cheap No co2. I'll put pics of the V3 in the RDWC system when it's moved. In the mean time there are pictures in my Jock Horror grow and Skunk #1 threads if you wish to have a look.

Pic from this morning. Not a lot happening to be honest. I was hoping it would be ready to go in this week, but I'd rather hold out till it's a good size before putting it in to the flower room.

Ey up.
That V3 makes some buds. I remember Heaths aeroflo grow with it.... Just buds from end to end, truly a sight to behold.
He gave me his choice clone but it died in my veg box along with some other stuff.
How's that bluelab guardian working out?

Hey HG.
Yes, I was massively impressed with all of Heaths work and I am so pleased to have his V3, black rose and chiesel in my seed collection. I'm gutted that I found the canna forums just as he bowed out :-(
Yes, the monsters he grew from this strain were amazing. While I am a beginner compared to him, I hope if I get the basics rights the V3 will reward me.
I've not plugged the Guardian in yet, I have a much cheaper tri meter in the res at the moment. I'll post up my thoughts when the V3 goes into flower and shares the res with the #1 that's in there.

Do you have modded the Aquafarm? Better Holes in the Bottom? Airstone? =) I will Abo this Thread, cause i'm a longtime Aquafarm Grower

Yes, the base has been drilled out a lot over how it comes! I used an air stone in my tent SCROG grows, but as this will eventually end up in my RDWC system I've not bothered with an air stone while in veg.

I have three aquafarm tubs and 4 waterfarm tubs. This one is least drilled. Here is one of the inside tubs drilled out....

Looks nice! I reccomend a Airstone for Vegi too =) Do you use the regular airpump? or a new one?

I've usually used the one supplied with the farms, but I upgraded to a different one. The brand name escapes me, but I'll have a look and let you know.

Nice RDWC Rez. Don't know this yet? Is this a original part from the Waterfarm?

That is the tank. I've posted up a pic of the rez I use for the RDWC system below. No, the black tank is a 25 gallon cold water storage tank. I've just butchered the opening of the top of the tank to fit the waterfarm tub into it
