i keep posting in the wrong places here... maybe this will be right..

it's been awhile icmag. with >10 post, it's been 3 years. And now I've moved on to the Aloha state and working on the outdoor. So, without further ado my 1st totally documented grow journal =]
:comfort:
First I'm going to let you know what I'm running, then tell you my experience growing in HI, then bring you up to date with current situation, then tell you about updates and times, with pictures at the end.

I'm running an indoor/outdoor system.
Outdoor - greenhouse 6'x8'
Indoor - 4'x8' tent
lighting - (2) t5 a 4bulb
soil - peat moss + fox farm
pot size - varying from 1gal. - 2gal. - 10gal.
cloning tray w/dome - peat pellets + rockwool cubes
mother plants - grow rocks + 20 gallon res.
strains running - G13 Labs OG13 feminized (OG) + Female Seeds Bubblegummer feminized (BG)
male strains running - Humboldt Seed Organization Sourblueberry (SB)+ DNA Genetics Hash Plant Haze (HP)
male genetics - SBxHP + HPxHP + HPxThe Gift + OGxThe Gift

My experience, inside of the greenhouse I've had problems with temperature control due to being in the tropics. I've put a screen over the top and it seems to keep the temperatures down. This is going to be my first run with the tarp, but it cuts down on the intensity of the sun. Without it, temps can reach 110F easy. With it, it's still hot but the plants don't seem to mind, if you have any thoughts in this area let me know.
indoor, the mother plants are in grow rocks, and i'm cloning placing them in peat pellets then transplanting to 2 gal pots. I've done some test in cloning using rockwool vs. peat pellets and believe it or not, cloning in peat pellets I can transplant in 7 days no bull$#%!. Cloning in rockwool cubes has been hit or miss for me and I'm surprised at that as I've been cloning in rockwool cubes for 3 years.

Current situation, I'm cloning =]. I have a few OG coming up, and just cloned BG.
The plan is this: I need something to smoke, but get the first batch out at 1', then once those start flowering work on a scrog type of grow in which I can beef 'em up and hopefully be ready to submit something to the icmag breeder/growers cup. Questions welcomed, comments welcomed. If you like what I'm doing, please vote/recommend me for those contests. The road to amsterdam starts somewhere for everyone and mine is ICMAG. So sit back and relax n toke one up.

Updates will come weekly check in on Saturdays, and I'll use the remainder of the week to respond to questions comments etc. Here some pictures of the place.

outdoor HI

outdoor HI

so here are a few photos of the outdoor side of things. mainly flowering. i moved out some plants from the inside, started some seeds (really just to make sure they germed, made 'em 12/2012)
home sweet home.

to continue:
nutrients - house and garden line
reservoir size - 55 gal.
i'm not keeping track of these plants out here, judging by eye.
the journal is going to be for the plants on the inside, this is just what's going on outside.

a little messy, i've been messing around with using hydro outside but haven't dialed it in yet. so, peat moss & fox farm.
my soil mix is: peat moss on the top, then half way down fox farm + peat mix.

still updating so welcome back. glad you came to take a peak...

indoor -
still cloning and training tops for height. plant heights are ~6 inches for those in 2gal pots. tried super cropping a couple of them, not sure if i like how they out grow that phase. my thoughts are something like treating a bonsai tree, but just the delay until the message are able to tell the lower branches to grow is such a delay...

if any one has experience utilizing this method please feel free to chime in...

outdoor -
did some house keeping as far as setup and general flow of my greenhouse. so the right is where i'll keep seedlings, or recently brought out plants, and the left is for flowering plants. i added another 55 gal reservoir. so one reservoir will be for flowering plants w/ added phosphorus, and the other will be for both regular water for flushing and then basic growing solution.

what's next?
flowering mother plants?? anyone care to chime in on the subject?
the clones that i took from these mother plants are taking and i'm thinking about retiring these mothers. using 1 or 2 to make some fem seeds.

i bought my colloidal silver, like 20$, i know it's covered somewhere in the forum zone of eternity, but if anyone cares to chime in with tips and tricks... please.

the updates continue

Bonjour to all... mahalos...

indoor:
i retired my mothers and moved them to flower.
that's why there's nothing in this pick. the garden is a living breathing environment that changes.

aside from that, took a load of clones and stocked up for the next mothers that are waiting to take over.

this the veg side of things... still growing.

outdoor:
from the plants that were out there before, they've filled in. i've added another 55 gal. reservoir and just been chugging along.
I plan on making some fem. seeds, or at least taking a shot at it. i bought some commercial STS solution and have just been holding till the time is right, so one mother will be F>M conversion and the others will be frankensteins. plan on growing up the S1 and then seeing exactly what we have here.

finally have the outdoor on a timer. no run off (well maybe a little), they get watered twice a day for 45 seconds.

updates continue...

updates continue...

updates:
been using collodial silver the 250ppm bottle daily to try and get some pollen from the OG, been 4-5 days. applications go on daily. not seeing any results or effects from the spray applications. some say the time line for results is 15-20 days so we have a few more days to go. updates to come.

another week down...

another week down...

indoor:
started so new clones with purple pheno types that started showing this week.
the OG (clone) + BubbleGummer (clone) + Caramel Ice (from seed) are all growing well..

pictures to size

outdoor:
the man upstairs been kind. been getting a lot of clear skys, low wind, and just beautiful days out here.
pollen and collodial silver; so i been trying to get this collodial silver working for me to make some feminized seeds and i'm still waiting. here's a pic of one that i've been spraying for ~10-11 days... it's beginning to yellow a bit on the inner leaves, bud development looks to be starting however.

this is one that i start spraying yesterday, we'll document this one more closely so we can all watch the success or failure. so day 2 of spray:

this is what the garden looks like with everyone in place.

i planted majority of clones, but then some seed also of some colorful strains. found a purple pheno that i've cloned and look forward to having a half a garden of purple a harvest later.

nutrients: this has been a big experiment for me in which i tested the idea of making a base nutrient reservoir to see if i really had to change it weekly. so to tell you the truth, this has been the easiest nutrient maintenance that i've ever done. no continual changing of the reservoir, no measuring multiple nutrient additives, just refilling with water and using a 16-16-16 base nutrient, and i haven't come across any problems.
