I hope you like rain

when it comes, holy hell, it's like torrential downpour, instantly soaked to the bone

tons of hippies so the town caters to them, oh and college kids

tried to live there, moved back to Ptown

Coming form FL an I'm glad to leave. Is it like Colorado or is it more Oregon. I'm looking to stay out of downtown Olympia mostly looking for a small chill town outside of it that's friendly an with a little land.

oh lord name escapes me right now but theres lots of rural places around here, though at the same time not far from it all... not sure what you'd want to know about the differences pertaining to CO and OR, but I wouldnt know. I'd peep a map but im about to nap..but theres a lot of those here

Med card is not a problem just bring previous medical records from U'r current DR in the South...must be qualifying condition......for approval....

OLY gets rain... not much snow.... a good all season tire will do....
but when i say rain..... one year was 122 days .... STRAIGHT rain every day....NOT a downpour.... just a steady drizzle that soaks U to the bone....

The Great Wet North welcomes you! Been in Washington for about 20 years now and I will never leave. Don't let the rain gloomies get you down. When it is sunny it is BEAUTIFUL and well worth the wait! The OLY area is very nice and it can get pretty rural just a few miles out. You shouldn't have any trouble finding a place with a bit of land within a 20-30 minute drive of city center. When the sky clears, depending on where you are in the OLY area, you will have a front seat view of one of the biggest and most beautiful mountains in the world - Mt. Rainier. Never ceases to impress, even after a couple decades.

Lived in Pierce (Tacoma) and Trurston (Olympia) counties for years and just recently moved across the mountains to the high desert region. Not trying to rain on the parade but you might want to take the drive north to the North Seattle or Lynwood region to visit any decent disp. The Olympia region's disp. are generally surprisingly low quality unless you have the right connections for those silent back door deals. Even up north when something really top shelf shows up, it's gone quick.

Portland was too rainy for my wife. I wish I could live in Olympia. Maybe a drier part of Washington would work for me, if I decide to move to one of the legal states.

Thought Seattle and vicinity was bad enough, after living in the Phoenix valley for 10+ yrs. But then lived in Aberdeen/Hoquiam for a couple years and really thought I'd never dry out again. Just south of the Olympic Rain Forest, the area averages 90"+/yr rainfall. Didn't mean to sound discouraging, just do a little research instead of trusting the current hype in the Pac NW.
