I know it has been a while since I gave an update on Mrs. MPD, so this is the latest. I am sitting in a chair in the infusion lab at the local hospital. Next to me is a hospital bed where Mrs. MPD is napping while she gets HER FINAL ROUND OF CHEMO!!!!!!!! WHOOT!!!!

She has had six courses of chemotherapy. Each course has been three days of infusion using Carboplatin and Etoposide along with some Ativan (wish I could get a script for THAT) and anti-nausea meds - steroids and such. But let me tell you about her latest CAT scan...

Tumors have shrunk dramatically in her lungs and liver. There are scars in both organs from where those nasty little bastards died an ugly and very timely end. Now she is going to get periodic PET scans to determine what is going on and hopefully we are looking at a full remission!!!!

None of this would have happened without your kind thoughts, your positive vibes, your prayers and the wonderful group consciousness that comes from this site.

Thank you one and all from the bottom of my heart. I am so lucky to be a member of this board! :thank you:

Glad to hear she recovered.

Do you wish for a script because you got a chance to try them out ? They are fun, but benzos can be very addictive.

MPD,

I just picked up this thread from the "New Posts" on the index page. First time I've seen it. Hope everything works out for your lovely wife. God bless.

This really hits close to home for me. My mom (53) was just diagnosed with small cell cancer this past week in one of her lungs as well as her liver. She just had a bone scan and a brain scan to see if it is there as well as apparently thats where it likes to go.

She starts chemo/radiation later this month.

I read through the first 3 pages fighting back tears and I will get through it all but if there is something I can do to help her regarding the herb, I am all for it as long as its within my capabilities. So I am open to suggestions.

IT is great news to hear about the remission and thats what they are hoping for with my mom.

All the best and positive thoughts.

Major Congratulations. In 1995 they gave me a year to live, and less than a 3% chance of making it through that year. Ten years later, they used the word, "cured." There is always that chance. Never give up. Never lose hope.
