Canna Terra, getting the full line worth it ?

Hi there,

I'll give a go to the Canna "Terra" line for my new run. I'm getting Canna Terra Vega+Flores and some PK13/14 for sure.
The feeding chart includes RhizoTonic, Cannazym and Cannaboost.
Should I get these 3 complements as well ? I've read good things on Cannaboost, but getting all of this line is quite expensive, hence my question : are these worth to get ?

Thanks guys,
Cheers.

I'm doing the same thing except I'm using Canna Subtra veg, 2 part mix. Cost me about 25 bucks for a quart of the 2 nutes used to feed during veg. I didn't get the PK 13/14, RhizoTonic or the other 2. The salesman (kid) suggested I get the RhizoTonic root booster I think it was. 60 bucks for a quart! I'm on a budget and can't afford to keep putting bucks into this. My room is built and holds temp and humidity nicely.
I wasn't quite ready to start growing but had a dozen cupped ladies dumped on me about 2 weeks early. I just gave them their first feeding yesterday and will know their fate when I get home. I'm sure I need other things, nutes and such. I'm wondering what other root booster can I get that I can afford now that will work with the Canna Substra? The Canna grow schedule says I need a booster now. This is my first grow.

I have a 8X8X6.5 room. Well insulated. Holds temp at 82 and humidity at or below 60% with lights on. 70 and 50% with lights off. 6" inline fan blowing cool air into the room at ground level and a sunking air-cooled hood with a 400 watt HPS bulb attached to a 6" exhaust fan and about 6' of duct. 2 small fans pushing air around the room, 1 high and 1 low. I'm currently housing 8 6"-8" girls that are about 8-10 inches away from the light. When I left home this morning they looked fine having just been feed 10 hours prior. I'm crossing my fingers and hoping for the best.
I scrogged and topped a bit early but they survived and now 4 of my ladies have at least 3 tops each. The color went from lite greenish yellow in their first 2 weeks to an almost hunter green this morning, actual week is 4. Maybe day 30. They are a bit behind schedule, maybe 10 days. Their PH is just below 7, barely. I don't have PH up or down yet either. I started with FoxFarms Ocean soil but will switch to a soil with no nutes when I transplant to the next pot. Would you like to share ideas and maybe work together via text?

The 3 additives you're asking about are quality products, and I'd recommend getting then as money allows. You can get the small containers.

I've been using General Organics BioRoot, and am very impressed with it. Can't speak for compatibility, but my guess is that it will do no harm. About 18 bucks a qt., and 1 or 2 tsp/gal. Good luck. -granger

Ive been using rhizotonic lately and its a good product, it does change the ph a lot so be prepared for that. The cannazyme I've used on and off, I cant tell if it makes a difference or not. If your on a budget and can only get one you'll probably get the most bang for your buck with the pk13/14. Also if you cant get the rhizotonic or another root booster don't worry, They will still do just fine.

PK 13/14

PK 13/14

I thought PK 13/14 was for later in flower cycle or late veg. I have researched stuff. In fact today i needed Cal-Mag plus but got something else at about half the price with all of the same ingredients.

I've used the full line of canna products for the last 8 years of my 20+ yr growing career
Canna bio
Canna SUBSTRA(back to this now)
Wanted to use the bio Terra line but I guess we can no longer get canna soil here in ca....at least that's what I was told last time I checked
If you can afford it use the full line...it is worth it if quality is your number one objective...spicoli/smoke trees, grey skull, grow tech, krd, whadeezlrg....there is a list of some members who have switched to canna full line products after sampling produce...they will all tell you its cuz its the best tasting herb theyve tried...period

And I ain't hating on other less expensive nutes...I'm just saying..
They engineer these products to work w each other...it costs more but worth it...if it comes down to nutrients or food on the table(which it has for me..ha) then I suggest a cheaper line top to bottom

yes pk13/14 is for use in flower, What I meant to say was if your on a budget skip the rhizotonic and cannazyme and save your money for the pk13/14. You'll get the most noticeable results using that.

PK 13/14

PK 13/14

OscartheGrouch, If you're talking about Canna PK 13/14 I can afford that now. It's only $20 at my shop, it's the RhizoTonic that's about 60-70 bucks that I can't afford now. The cannazyme is only about $30.
Is there anything else I should be adding during week 2-4 of veg? I have only given them the Substra veg combo( 2 items) so far. I tested their PH this morning (3 days after feeding)and it went down a pinch. From about 6.9 to 6.5, maybe 6.4. I have the timers set correctly now and the temp has stayed at 84 and humidity at 60% with lights on. Off is 77/54....to me that's supreme! 2 days in a row it's held the same. I took pictures but I'll have to load them from home. I'm planning on adding my cal-max and root booster to the next feeding. I bought distilled water and will PH down it a pinch. I'm hoping my PH pen comes in the mail before the next feeding so I don't have to keep guessing with my pronged meter. I'm feeling the pride of fatherhood again. I surely appreciate you and everyone else that offers words of wisdom to help me and others like me. I'll do the same when I'm a weed wizard too. Peace till next time :headbange

Good stuff

Good stuff

SubRob, thx for your input. When I can afford the rest of the Canna line I do plan on sticking with it. My research proved it's worth and after just 1 feeding with only the first 2 of the line the girls have absolutely grown bigger in the 3 days since.
I was told even though it's 2-3 days away from the next feeding I can go ahead and mix up some Cal-Max and apply to soil now and still feed it in 2-3 days as planned. I'm having low mag in a few plants, not real bad.:ying:

Ive used Canna products alot over the years. Off and on. Substra back in the day running Rockwool non recovery slab drip systems. Aqua running NFT rain gutters and flood and drain hydroton tables. Terra running soil mixes and Coco for coco drip to waste (similar to Substra -rockwool drip - very similar) setups which iam currently runnjng now (for the last 10 years or abouts.) Its a qUality nutrient brand. They know what they are doing. Very consistent. Anyways...you dont need the whole line. The bases are fine on thier own. And ive ran ALOT of additives. There arw way cheaper alternatives to Rhizo...pk 13/14...and Boost. General Organics Bioroot is just as effective as a root tonic replacememt for Rhizotonic and much much cheaper. Atami Bcuzz stimulators are a cheaper alternative for rooting and blooming. Canna Boost is a rip really. Way oberpriced for wbay it does. Ionics pk booster is way cheaper than Cannas. There all just mono potassium phosphate. All the brands. Maybe one might add humics and fulvics and aminos but mkp is all they are really. I stopped buying Cannas additives years ago. And replaced with the above cheaper alternatives and i havent skipped a beat. Try it. Use the Canna base. But try GO Bioroot or Bcuzz Root Stimulator (or Greenfuse) instead of Rhizotonic. Try the really cheap Ionic pk boost instead of Cannas pk. Skipp the ripoff Canna Boost. ...it doesnt do that much to justify the cost. Try Bcuzz Flowering Stimulator too. 36$ online.....free shipping. 3/4 tsp per gallon. Shit works. Atami has Rootbastic and Bloombastic too but these arwnt what iam talking about. They are really pricey and dont justify the cost for what they do also. Ive used ALOT of the bottles on the hydro shop shelves ober the years. If you have questions. ..ask away.
