I miss cali, even if it was punching 600g holes into straight rocky clay while camp circled overhead.

Nothin beats that 5000 ft trinity sunshine... not all the sandy loam in the world.

So I met up with a guy that I consider a pro. Grows in Humboldt, and has been doing it for quite some time now. The reason I bring this up is because I thought I grew good herb. I know there is always room for improvement, but DAM!

I pulled out my GSC, blue dream, and WIFI from an indoor harvest I was very happy with. When he packed a bowl he was very polite and said it looked good and talked about the flavor profiles. I was feeling pretty good about myself until he broke out some outdoor headband he grew last year. HOLY SHIT! Some of the best herb I have ever seen, indoors or out. When I smoked it, I was soaring. So tasty!

Practice makes perfect, and apparently I need a lot of practice. Nothing like a humbling experience to motivate you to work harder. I don't know how I will face this guy today, I am really really humbled from this experience.

P.S. I have lived and been smoking/growing in NorCal for 15+ years. I have smoke tons of top shelve buds, so I do have a good base for comparison.

My Original Headband came from a Buddys closet in Honeydew Humboldt. Hes had it forever, and his has always been abit stronger then mine, even with the same cut.

I miss cali, even if it was punching 600g holes into straight rocky clay while camp circled overhead.

I dont know about 5000 ft. But I would like to be perched somewhere above the "Humboldt Soup"

I seems that some of you guys are a bit ahead of me in terms of flower maturation.....I wonder if its the geo dif or the strains..things are even a little earlier this year than usual.....got me scratchin ma hed.....

Killer plants everybody, I know my garden is smelling wonderful these days.

I have one plant that is ready to harvest in the next couple days. This is real early. Its sometimes better if they wait so you get more weight....

The hype of the "emerald triangle " makes me laugh, it is not the only place quality is grown by quality growers, all over the world growers amaze me and many a head!
My area is full of past "emerald triangle" growers, whom have claimed many areas around can and do have better climates to achieve "top shelf" status herb, the 3 county northern cali scene out there is played just as the medi scene is as well here in Clownifornia, the joke of the cannabis world!

get lost freaky farmer, we dont need your shitty attitudes in here. if california is such a joke why is our herb in every single city and town in america? yea you can grow quality in a lot of places but no where is it as condensed and part of the local culture than northern cali....

Org.Buds,

did he bestow any additional knowledge that could be shared? any little bit of information that people can take and decide to use or not helps for sure. i have a growth and care schedule that i worked out from some people, but i just dont have the time to do it. working 2 jobs and having a small garden an hour away is tough enough as it is, but knowing what is out there still keeps me motivated.

This thread has so many California grows for a reason, but it's not that others aren't welcome.

:smoker::rasta: lol sure thing buddy. That's not the best way to come into this thread imho. We in CA are pillars of this industry, and have been for dam near 50 years now.

I grow in Cali have a degree in Botany! Cali is far and away the best climate (USA) but all the bud is infested (accept mine and a few/many others) with mites! It is soo bad that entire cities are overtaken and it has gotten into the food supply, strawberry's etc... These so called growers who sell seeds, dispencaries (colorado), large scale grows have ruined it for all you folks. So when the pros take over dont blame big business its all on your peers. Mother Nature has spoken she has put all you illegal large scale growers out of business this problem will not be solved untill all these bio terrorist exit the industry! Every single dispencary is a sitting duck! When grower brings em clean bud and they turn it down cause he/she wont front em or take a 2400 ticket dispencaries are indeed creating the problem! Not to mention the fact many dispencaries grow their own and/or have bud tendars that grow all these guys have BM! Again Mother nature has spoken she is fair and just you can try all the pesticides etc.. you want your gonna eventually get slaughtered because you do not have the abilities, integrity, and fortitude to survive!

California is an agriculture giant. There is a reason for that. The Agriculture is going to bring in all kinds of pests. Thats a given. People on this thread share knowlege, and techniques in dealing with pests, and if their advice is heeded, You will likely do very well in your outdoor grows no matter where you are. I must remind you, this is a multi national, multi state, multi county, and multi city thread. Its certainly not the California only thread. The pictures in this thread are a testimony to all the good growers worldwide, who congregate here

You sure don't write like you have a degree, and of course YOUR weed doesn't have mites and you know it all! w00t! Your right on one point, that there are a lot of noobs trying to grow and yes the bugs are getting resistant. But don't come here talkin shit, your barking up the wrong tree.

You talk about Fortitude and Intergrity but it looks like your using a second account to post your little rant. Hurtsauced to say the least~

We have been debating the rational importing foreign ornamentals for years there is clear evidence it will cause major problems. \border checks in cali demonstrate how serious it can be! Nobody was expecting 1000's of MJ growers now Veg and fruit farmer are going to pay the price guarantee heads will role! Growers world wide have kept this problem a secret so this is a global problem! Broad mites hitting MJ in Spain just ask the grape farmers in Spain wrecking havic on their crops.
Dr Purpur it is not the Ag in Cali that is causing the problem its the uneducated/unethical growers! The smart ones will burn their crop and relocate that should buy them time but in the end the same problems (or worse) will come back.
This has been a problem for these so called breeders in high times magazine for years just look at Denver. Its has gotten bigger and bigger because these greedy a holes wont quit now everyone has em.
Grower have to face the fact that they are not qualified to grow at the commercial level!

Wish I could but the entire food supply is at stake! Last year consulted many out door grows but most growers dont have the foundation to understand where im coming from. You guys realize that every big time fruit/veg farmer has access to a licensed consultant without him/her they would loose everything. Go to school get a degree no short cuts in this business! Its the truth! Nor cal Bob why havn't you brought this up wha hasn't anyone? Could you be one of these guys who gets em every once in a while? Call any hydro store in grass valley and/or chico ask all the large indoor growers (entire state) they all have em.

Try us...where are you coming from. You sound like a mouthpiece for somebody that does not have our best intention at heart. Prove me wrong...show some knowledge.
