Some info on Multi Flow/ Ebb n Flow systems

Hello guys Im pretty new on hydro setups, I'm considering investing around 5000$ in 4x8 setup with 2x600W, and 4x4 with 8 t5 4ft, also going hydro.
After researching, first I was looking at DWC, but the root rot because of water temperatures scared me and now I'm looking at Ebb n Flow/Multi-Flow systems. I see this 6-12-36 pot kits on ebay, now I'm trying to decide between CAP ebb n grow and Greentrees Multi-Flow system.
I have very noob question, I've searched and cant find answers on:
12 bucket multi-flow system takes 100L of hydrocorn, can net pots be used to cut down the tons of medium that are needed?
If I use net pot in Multi flow/Ebb n Flow, are the roots gonna suffer from the empty space they have?
I know in DWC they are fine, but there's water all the time, and In ebb systems there is water coming 2-3 times per day.
Thanks :)

5k seems expensive for what you outlined,

res may need a chiller and aqua sheild/sm90 to avoid root rot

"tons of media" ? the buckets for the cap system are pretty small, i have one setup now, just be sure to rinse your clay pellets or whatever before you put them into the buckets to reduce sediment flowing into lines and back to res.

my ebb & flo buckets feed 6 times per day, equally spaced apart inveg right now, smll plants

The GreenTrees system is infinitely better than the CAP system. For example, the Greentrees controller uses an adjustable float system (so that you can flood your buckets to whatever level you want) and the Greentrees buckets fully drain.

Dammit, can't edit yet...
With the ebb/flow buckets a chiller is not needed. I've had my rez temps as high as 88 (before I sealed my room and added a mini split :) )and never got a single brown root.
I use straight chemical nutrients (GH Flora series) to avoid anything growing in my rez.

Greentrees is a dope system. Ran it for a year.. might go back. No chiller needed just make sure your room stays below 80. I was rocking hugo's on net pots if you look through my keep it simple thread

thank you very very much for the comments guys!
my setup is pretty expensive, because i want to buy 2 lumatek ballasts, 2 blockbuster air-cooled hoods, bluelab guardian ph/ec/temp, greentrees multi-flow, secret jardin dr 240w tent, vitopod propagation tool, ecotechnics temp/humidity/heater controller only top qualities you know.
