Thanks man! =)

Yeah, the super hash i'd say 2-3 weeks, which would actually fall right in the estimated time of 55 to 65 days. Although I might give her some extra days depending of weight gain :p
She's got only about 5 to 10 % of dryed brown pistils. All thricomes are either milky or still clear.

The estimated time for the candy kush (estimated time = what said in the original seed container) was from 65 yo 75 days. I'd say she needs 3 weeks MINIMUM. She's crazy crystaly compared to the super hash. Trichomes just stacked on top of each other, the flower seems white! YEY
But, only about 1% of brown pistils, so flowers still need maturing. Weirdly, i've seen about half a dozen amber trichs, about 20% milky and a shit load of the clear ones!

Cheerz =)

Oh, I agree....80% of the time, watching trichomes change are the key to a seasoned mature plant. I've grown a few strains (much like your hybrid) that did not display the typical trichome/pistils change under close scrutiny with 30x jeweler's loupe.

As others have mentioned in posts, take a small sample in a few weeks to test it. If you like it, chop-chop. If you want a more narcotic effect, leave it longer.

I just chopped a few lower branches of a Chaze- the hairs were growing golden orange. Once dried, they were a golden tan in appearance. However, upper portion of the plant still looks snowy white, thus opting to wait a little longer.

Patience, grasshopper, patience! What a nice reward in the end!! KUDOS, K Ax!

Exactly! So I try to guide myself with the trichs for harvest day, and I check the pistils to have an idea of how "ripe" the plant is and how far she can still go. Exactly like you said, man, you took the words right out of my mouth "not displaying the typical trichome/pistil change".

Some plants might already have all brown pistils (and look about ready to go) but still need a week to get those 20/30% amber trich, while some plants still look green as hell with 50/60% amber trich count . . . it's crazy! Crazy.....but delicious! Ahah

Yes! Indeed, grasshopper, i've been thinking about that sample. My only problem is that they're all nuted up. I gotta start flushing . . . the Super Hash at least! And in a week's time I get that sample, yum yum yum

Colorado . . . you lucky dog ;) . . . growin' them legal hey?
Gotta visit California before I die man!

Thanks again grasshopper! Love it when people show some interest! lol, I know this aint some 30 plant dwc hidro grow, ahahah . . . but still, I'm very happy with my results!

Kustom Ax-

The plant will continue to mature, so you can just feed her water for the last remaining time. No need to flush, per se....just water your ladies as you would when soil is dry. I use water letting citified chemicals evaporate overnight for watering, and checking pH. Possibly the reason for the slow maturity in trichomes is your nutrients still in soil.

Bet you'll see a difference morphing in their last stages. I like to either with holdwater 2-3 days and cut when plant has absorbed the hottest el sol rays.....or put in dark space the last two days. Best always to cut when not drenched from rain, etc.

I can almost smell your ladies au de perfume from here!! Congrats on such voluptuous girls!

Thanks man! To mix with my nutrients I use mineral water at pH 6 - i'll just use that water.
Is it better if I use distilled water?
I've be adding some gramma's molasses! eheheh

Which one do reckon is most hybrid, or in other words, less indica?
The Super Hash Auto as airy buds, almost like fox tail buds, which I thought were a more sativa like trait...

Thoughts?

Yeah, water is good. No need for mineral water. At this point you just want to finish maturity. Think about cannabis in the wild....were they lucky enough to have a gin n tonic? Buuurp! Distilled, I use for medical apparatus or iron. For plants....unless you have your own water distiller...go with plain 'spring or drinking' water if you are buying it. Residual chemicals are removed.

Hybrids typically are two (or more) different strains, and can be from two similar genetics (Jack Herer's for example, or white, blueberry, etc.) but can be both indica or sativa or combo of each.

The airy fox tail buds are definitely sativa prominent. Creating a hybrid (as farmers do with corn, wheat, tomatoes and the like)...it promotes sturdy strong growth vs. inter breeding with exact same plants/seeds. Eventually plants weaken from being inbred. One or 2 generations not harmful.

That's why taking mother plant or pollen from original to create a backcross of offspring seeds are good. For personal consumption, hybrids are always good.

From your photos you are doing everything right!! Way to go!

Hey K Ax-
I knew common sense dictated...looked up mineral water for my own query...far toooo much sodium and other trace minerals (potassium included) ppm for any type of plant, esp. cannabis.

I know some swear by molasses..... Debatable, yes. If your grow medium is quality along with seed stock....keep to the basics and you'll reap the rewards. Then again, I'm old school.

Hey aridbud!

Yes! True! I stay away from hard waters! Around my area im lucky to get very good quality mineral water ;) very low trace minerals!

On molasses. . . well I gotta say it's my first time. I just wanted to see if it actually boosts anything! Jorge Cervante's Grow bibble actually states that mollasses can increase final weight by 25% . . . hum, i'm naturally sceptic so i wanna give it a try! I'll post my thoughts of the final results =)

K Ax- Finishing a few 'test grows' before sending packets on to seedbay. Really liking the Silver Haze x Mi5. Also finishing a Sweet Seeds XL x White Domina/Ogre, La Musa x wild ruderalis from the Sangre de Cristos on NM/CO border/Russian Rocket Fuel. May need one more grow to make sure it's stable.

I also have a Malana Bomb x Wh Dom/Ogre looking great. Finishing a 3 cross Jack Herrer auto hybrid which I believe that will be my new favorite besides Blitzoid and Lapis Troll.

Too, I have a few main stays I like to grow- Azure Rocket and did a Double Barrel for new seed stock. Prefer keeping seeds viable. Others were from late Spring's harvest. Several of those were hidden in the flower pics around the lm tree. No one commented on it, so I guess it was ho-hum. My pics were to show how relatively concealed they can be.

Have a CHAZE and a Nirvana Sky finishing- taking far too long as there are photoperiods that finish faster. Funny, the one branch I pollinated with a male Ogre on the CHAZE...those seeds finished over 6 weeks ago but the finish of the plant is just coming into it's "golden age". Ha! Ha!

Yes, I've had a few copies of Jorge's references over the years. Molasses has been used in conjunction with a few other ingredients for plant/flower/vegetable fertilizer. Keep notes on it or do a side by side grow using molasses for one, the other with quality grow medium.

@ Aridbud

Damn man! You put me to shame, ahah, so many plants and crosses and stuff.. .
Me with just 2 little autos ahahah

Is the Azure Rocket an auto? Sounds appealing!

Thanks pretty interesting, guess the plant simple focused more energy on which ever calyxes where pollinated, being prioratized (prioritized?)

Wish I could have those many plants and plans, without having to worry for my criminal record, lol . . .

Cheery-O !

Yes, Azure Rocket fast finishing auto. Have 3 going now - tinkered around the right hybrid mix for good feeling happy motivational strain, fast hitting, strong. Amazing how many projects I can complete (sans using power saws!). It doesn't grow big, yet makes up for it in potency.

All our hybrids are autoflower. Depending on what you like as far as taste, effect, gene pool, there's several to experience.

Hey, your 2 plants look awesome!!! No need to compare. If 2 do it- all the better!! And, better to fly under the radar than have a beacon of light attracting un-needed attention from perps or
po-lice. A balcony grow- just the right atmosphere. Grow on!

I've been giving them just water with molasses.

Not much, but yeah, there's a slight swell. I won't say 25% but I can see new growth (as in new white pistils) and I notice the calyxes themselves have swollen quite a bit. It is more evident on the Candy kush tho. . . Which already had very big proiminet calyxes.

But nothing out of this world so far :p
