CA Bugs, Worms, and Disease Thread 2013

I'm surprised nobody has mentioned Azitrol and/or SM-90. I use both separately (in the res) and together (in a spray), keeping aphids at bay. Azitrol is a neem-based product.

My buddy's garden got whacked the last few days by caterpillars and botrytis. As a result I sprayed with my Bt cocktail and added serenade and actinovate since it was raining in my area these past few days.
Knock on wood, my ladies don't seem to be on the menu yet.
Oh yeah, I also followed the advice of someone here that likes neem systemically, it killed a few gnats that liked my wet soil.
Today is a dry period for everyone, no watering today.

yea the caterpillars are hitting early this year! normally i dont see any damage until mid september. they are already migrating to certain strains, the chemdawgs and sourDs arent getting hit at all but the blue dreams and green cracks have had a few colas already rot from cat damage.

I've noticed the same thing! Blue Dreams are getting hit with eggs and worms and the SD's are not.

One thing I do to keep the worms/cats at bay is to inspect my plants early every morning for eggs.

I think it's a moth, but they lay tiny, whitish, spherical eggs on top of the buds usually, sometimes on the tops and bottoms of some sugar leaves.

I usually find 2 to 6 eggs somewhere on most plants every morning. It doesn't take too long, even with my big gardens.

Plucking these eggs off the plants greatly reduces the number of worms I see.

I got the stomach flu two days ago and one day of not inspecting caused some damage to a cookies I am mixing with bog pollen and Jilly Bean pollen.

I thought it was bird shit

I thought it was bird shit

One bud on the huge bogglegum has 6-8 eggs laid so densely I thought it was bird poo.
