High nights co2= high daytime co2

My room is sealed 16x20, 100 plants. So my lights off co2 gets up to 2200-2500 or so ppm, so the 1st few hours of lights on they are in an oversaturated co2 environment..the plants look really good, my understanding has been that high co2, say over 2000ppm becomes detrimental and stunts growth... after a few hours they use up the co2 and it comes down to desirable levels 1400-1500. I'm rarely using my burner as the process of using 1000+ppm takes hours. Yes I know plants put out co2 at night and I know they don't use co2 during the night.its the high co2 they're getting that's concerning me I don't really have a way to vent the room at lights on... any suggestions?thanks

the controller is fine, just got serviced by sunlight, 2 different controllers give the same readings, outdoor is 400ppm so yes its accurate

Is your generator timered off during night cycle? If so, then you'll need to timer it off long enough before lights out to avoid a build up. Best case would be that your burner timers off early enough that you reach something close to 350 ppm at lights out. Good luck. -granger

I wouldn't worry. Prolonged exposure to CO2 over 2000 ppm is harmful to humans, I don't think it has ill effect on plants. You have to get up even higher before you displace enough O2 to harm the plants. I don't vent my room at all. My observation was that the first few weeks the burner hardly ran, and the CO2 stayed elevated around 2-2.5kppm. Then as the plants' metabolisms picked up, CO2 levels would drop during lights on and the burner would run for a bit. At the end of flower I turned the burner off and I'm letting the plants consume all the CO2 left in the room. The only CO2 being produced in the room now is from the microbes in the soil. You can look at my most recent album to see my results.

I agree with bobble thou when you say 14/1500 acceptable, is that what you set your controller to? Seems recent studies suggest over 1200 is a waste.

I run mine at 900 and get good results. Night time levels still spike but only to 1600-2000.

I'm completely sealed no vents at all.

Thanks for the replies, Granger yes its off at night its on a photocell, ive verified that its off visually during lights out as well...bobble, ok thats good to hear im not the only one with these numbers. Ive read that high co2 will stunt and slow growth, most of my plants have been blowing up, 1 strain seem to be struggling a bit though,or not showing the same growth maturity as others...not necassarily vertical growth but branching ,shoots etc. Environment, feed etc is all on point. If its nnothing to be concerned with i wont worry about it, they use it up. Ttc my burners at 1200 by the time it hits the controller the room maxes @ 1350-1400
took a look at your room bh, looks awesome those are big:pirate:
