The Reveg Garden

My current interest is in growing nothing but trees and bushes.

I'm on the first reveg now, about to move into the second flowering and there is a 2-3 month wait to test the results.

Frankly, I'm done with keeping mothers. Now, all plants will be mothers. All plants will have about 20% herb left intact, the first 2-3 nodes up each branch, along the lower set of branches.

I'm interested in what you think about this practice, and how it affects crops thereafter. The basics, flavor and potency, loss or gain.

I believe there is a learning curve. Most people have a hard enough time keeping their single cola plants stable for 90 days to produce a high quality smoke. And Most people can't grow trees.

Many breeders and growers keep trees for years and years. My thought is, the herb isn't any better simply because it's cut from the mother plant and repotted, so what's the point.

Simply put, I'm retired from the prohibition era style of growing. There is no need to frantically rip up plants or transport them to stash them, they're legal, they're mine, so why not grow them 6' tall and 4' wide and let them sit?

Anyone else reveg exclusively? Interested in opinions on long term reveg only gardens and any obstacles or quality concerns you've found along the way.

Yes, I'm familiar with root pruning and the need for up-potting, re-potting and down-potting as needed, and general root maintenance.

I'm not familiar with this techique, but am interested to learn about it.

If you don't mind, I'll pull up a bucket, lurk for the most part and ask a question or two.

Thanks for this thread.

i have experienced both good and bad things about re-veg. ive reveged and have had no problems at all. and a couple of reveg's that didnt go so well. loss of vigor lack of structure and yeild. im sure its very much strain specific. in my experience its best to reveg plants only to revive genetics about to be lost. ive only reveged to take healthy clones from the reveged plant.after i take clones from these plants the clones are usually healthy with no side effects.but the reveged plant doesnt do so well. my experience is very limited and im very interested in your results. good luck with this experiment. thanks for sharing, digdug!!
