Been through several Coco Coir grows
Did OK
Learned plenty
Thought Id try Hydro
Aint done too well
This is the 2nd crop
ebb and flo-14 slot only 8 used- 4inch baskets- 16 gal (I think) Botanicare reservoir - Botanicare nutes - (Vege and Grow, Liquid Kharma, CaMag+, Hydroplex, Silica Blast) on time, on schedule, on pH, on temp. 4-tube T5 Flouro-2700 and 5000 -
top pic shows the bottom.
no long beards here.
Barely a root in sight. Am I flooding the tray too high so the plants do not have to search for water? 3 floods per day. 30 min each Water floods to underside of top of baskets

middle pic
shows the plants themselves. Half from seed. Half from clones.
a metal screen (kinda SCROG) can be seen 12 inches above the plants

3rd pic shows
The top level
Where all the buds should be.
If I hadnt supercropped main bud in the foreground, yield would be almost nonexistent.

What am I doing wrong?

I know roots like the dark i say make your setup light prof it should help with the humidity around the roots to.
And your container looks like its meant for aeroponics or DWC all the ebb and flo setups Ive seen have the net pot sitting on their trays.

Take the plants out get a bright ass light and stick it into the system then turn lights out in the room with the system and look for light shining out of the box? Fix leaks and done. No light out means no light in :) Hope you sort it.

Edited to add those pics with the center holes of the system open and light shining in on the roots, was done at the end shot for the final results, and not all the way through veg/ flower open? Also like below root growth does slow after 2 weeks of flower.

As far along in budding as those plants are, I wouldn't expect them to grow any roots now. You want to grow most of your roots in veg. It stops growing roots in flower after stretch, for the most part.

Anyways, this is not a way I would grow hydroponically. But I could make it work. We need more details of whats going on. How often do you flood, for how long. Everything you can think of. Maybe more pics. :)

Roots

I don't see any roots under your girls! Agreed that there needs to be no light at the root zone. Here are mine at about a week after placing them in the pots. I clone in jiffy pucks in a dome then move them once I see roots poking out of the puck. These are in DWC but look the same as my EBB&FLO did before I switched to a flooded tube. Pretty much all of my girls have roots almost equal in length as the height of the plant.
