Hello everybody,

I'm looking for some growlogs with "partizant" method. In my language it is called 3 times visits method (i am not sure if i can translate it corretcly). Well, it is going like visit spot first time to plant plants or seeds in prepared before (in home) soil.

Then visit second time, when they r suppose to be in flowering stage, to look when come third time for cut. In second visit you can use anti rot preparation.

This method suppose to minimize chance of being caught or you simply can't visit spot so often. I want prepare myself for 2014 project like this.

If i chosed wrong forum, please correct me :)

There is not actually any guaranteed method for a successful, bust-free harvest, Invoker.

It's all relative to variable conditions.

Since the grow is not until next year, you have time to pick locations and camp at them to see how often any people come by, yes?

You obviously, in your case, seem to want to plant them where they will get enough water without you having to cart water to them. So it's gotta be a self-watering spot that gets plenty of sun.

Then there is the critters issue: Have any deer around? Any other animals that might wanna eat your plants?

You're gonna need a location you can visit as often as your instinct tells you to. If you paid good money for your seeds then you will want to check up on those plants at least once a week. Any number of things can go wrong in your absence but not necessarily be fatal if you catch them in time.

Visiting only 3 times ain't gonna cut it except in the most ideal conditions.

An ideal condition would be a self-watering area that is NOT a bog or a swamp. An area that gets long hours of sun everyday, week after week (with the occasional shower or thunderstorm). A place that doesn't have deer or goats---nor cocksuckin' caterpillars!!!---nor people hiking around.

Why not build a growbox and grow indoors?

Thanks for posting, 2bad there is lack of intrest in this topic, but will response only to you then :)

I m doing indoor atm, but wanted start sth big. Deer or any other animals won't be a problem, since it will be grow on island. I think lvl of underground water is pretty high, so i hope even in dry summer plant's won't die.

If anyone is intrested in same thing : use special poli-something material (granules) which hold water in soil and give it back when needed. Also, snails (at least in my region) are big problem, so make plastic fence around each plant to pretect them.

I hope it is written correctly, since it is my 2nd language

You'll need more than plastic to stop them snails. You'll need snail/slug pellets---lots of them! Slugs and snails can climb up & over anything.

But as I said, you'll need to check on your plants at least once a week. There's things going on out there that you don't know about yet.

Is this island you speak of surrounded by salt water or fresh water?

:tiphat:

It's fresh water arround it. About snails: you think plastic bottle cut like this IIIIIII can't do the trick? Unfrotunatley, i don't have opportunity to check on them every 1 week - maybe even 2-3 at best. Snail pellets - i thought about it, but it will soak after first rain (even litte cover won't help, or maybe a little). I simply hope there is't big snail population, but better prepare on worst.

If i start this (probably it'll happen, already started with seeds collection), i'll post whole process, no matter of result.

I've grown like this a number of times. It is very common.

Plant seeds or better yet, young plants. Return after a month and a half to cull males. Return again to hopefully harvest.

You need to use a number of locations because many will fail. Buried metal flashing surrounding the plants, as well as wire mesh, increases your chances greatly. I have a friend who vacationed in Fiji because of a garden on an island. Slugs and snails avoid crawling on copper. If you can get a copper wrap somehow around the base of each plant it might keep them off.
