Canna Coco + AN additives formula

Is anyone using a Coco Cana base with AN additives or have a similar recipe they use or something close to it? I was thinking of giving it a try instead of Canas basic feeding charts. Do you think it will be an issue mixing the 2 together? Thanks -Hank

I've done this before. 5ml A+B, 0.35g Big Bud Dry, 5ml Over Drive is a good bloom formula.

I'm currently running Canna Coco A+B, Green Planet Bloom, Green Planet Dense, CX Head Master, Green Coast Magnesium, GroTek ProSilicate, ET Crystal Burst, ET Snow Storm Ultra, ET PurpleMaxx, Botanicare Liquid Karma, H&G MultiZen, and probably something else. I'm dropping the farm in there and everythings kicking.

There should be no problem mixing brands in most cases, just make sure you follow your EC & pH meter at all times and you will be fine.

If you ask me tho AN's additives are way too watered down, however their grow-micro-bloom base nutes is excellent and way better than Canna's a+b when it comes down to the taste of the end product. Canna kept giving me rough smokes even with long flushes whereas AN gives me an extremely smooth and tasty end product (tested on same cuts).

Good luck

not sure at all. but I think I recall someone saying they reformulated to incorporate trying to get you to use there additives ( like cannazyme has a NPK profile.. )

not sure, and might be best cleared up seeing the history of coco NPK...

I am interested though, but too busy to look into , honestly

Wow, I'm running Canna coco A&B. That's it.

I wonder what my plants are lacking?

Hehe my thoughts as well
I'm just using base nutes + an organic kelp based flowering additive during the essential flowering weeks and thats it.

Overdoing it with additives won't help you, might harm you.

I love the old hive-mind. My plants are fine boys, contrary to popular belief and clique mentality I do actually understand what I am doing.

All of those products, and some more, were completely free to me. As a product specialist for a garden supply wholesaler I get to play with a lot of fun stuff. Next round might be NutriField Coco line, maybe Cyco Platinum... Met R-1, Emerald Triangle GMB, Botanicare Kind, I dunno, I have it all... and it wouldn't be hard to add some Heavy16, Yellow Bottle, Tehnaflora, Roots Organics, Advanced Nutrients. Really, the world is my oyster and I'm not on anyones band wagon. I pay close attention to my ratios and let loose as I have had to teach myself.

I find that Canna A+B at 5-4-3 4.5%Ca and 1.2%Mg benefits from their tailored line which delivers additional PK in the form of Cannazym, as well as the boost from PK13/14, during bloom. I also find that some plants prefer a less Calcium dominant ratio. Instead of 10ml/gal Cannazym, or a few ml/gallon of PK13/14 I utilize some other products.

Definitely nice to have. There is a Garden Supply Expo and Trade Show in San Francisco every year and they give away millions of dollars of product every year. I think I picked up 14 T-Shirts, 5 or 6 complete nutrient lines (The Cyco Platinum and Metrop-1 are what I'm most excited about), backpacks, fabric planters, some insane new MH bulbs, hats, stickers, and every additive I could get my hands on.

There is a vendor day on the first day and a public day on the second. At the end of the public day they are basically throwing things at people, I saw someone walk away with a 4'x8-bulb T5 and Turbo Garden, plus whatever else he made off with. Seriously, if you are around the Bay Area get your ass to the Max Yield Garden Expo next July. Fun for everyone.

not canna but I run 6/9 gh base, 6ml bigbud weeks 2 thru 4 flower with great results.....I still think advances entire sup line is a little pricey when you can get cheaper enhancers like kool bloom. I only use big bud cause I had a bottle left over so I might as well use it after its done, back to kool bloom.

Wow! Thanks for all the responses! I'm just looking for a simple recipe for canna using their AB. I was just thinking of adding AN Overdrive and Bud Candy. As of right now I'm just running Canna AB, PK, Boost, Cannazym, and Tonic. I can't complain but am just curious of others recipes. Thanks

I replaced the PK13/14 with AN Big Bud Dry. - More effective
I replaced the Cannazym with Botanicare Hydroplex. - Less expensive
I replaced the Rhizotonic with GH RapidRooter. - More effective
I replaced the Boost with CES Uncle John's Blend. - Less expensive
I replace half the A+B with CNS17 Ripe around half way through bloom. - More effective

I like to tinker. It's more about understanding your ppms and plant requirements than following a program verbatim.

Hey Willy,
I want to answer that question but it is a big one and I don't really have the time. To be vague...

I never use more than 8ml/Gal of A+B in veg and never more than 5ml/Gal in Flower. I use Liquid Karma from start to about 4 weeks into flowering at 8ml per gallon. At flower onset I begin using 2.5g/Gal of Big Bud Dry for 10-12 days then decrease to 0.5g/Gal and add in the CNS17 Ripe (or Overdrive) around 35 days into flowering at about 2/3rd the recommended rate.

Kelp never more than 2ml per gallon.
Silica at 3ml per gallon every 2-3 feedings.
And everything else at a low levels, except Uncle John's Blend. I rock that shit HARD from the beginning of resin development up to the flush.
