Assitance with leaf image

My TOP leaves are turning this way at two different gardens.

Canna Coco 75%, perlite 25%

Run off is good pH and EC

Location A is well water ran through an RO
Location B is city water ran through an RO

Canna Coco A+B @ 8ml to 10ml per gallon
GH CaliMagic @ 3.5ml to 5ml per gallon.

The bottom leaves are showing a big of Mg- and some Ca- ... Or does a Ca toxicity look the same as a deficiency?

Please Advise! I am thinking about switching to GH 6/9 method... Although I have used Canna for over 2 years without issue. :s

I have never had those before nor seen them. There has been a small issue with fungus gnats in these rooms. It has been treated with BTI.

It would be really nice if it was something stupid like PH,nutrients, heat. But since it's at 2 different spots it really makes me feel like it's something else. Something eviler. I'm sorry I would look up common viruses and maybe the broad mites. I know there are diseases like TMV or mosiac virus that will mutilate plants like that. Broad mites are really small and evil. I think you need a 30X microscope to see them. I really know nothing about them you will have to peek around a little more, if you haven't already!

Scary shit man. I hope you guys figure it out! I don't know why I come to the infirmary sometimes, hearing this makes me so paranoid! I wish I could help.

Thanks for the replies. Pistils look ok. My recent one that I just cut down last week did this and went quite extreme, all top leaves died and growth screamed to a halt at week 6.

There have been gnats in all the rooms, and have been treated with BTI. I can't find BTI causing any problems like this though, as it is supposed to be a beneficial.

Those first pics look a heck of a lot like VPD (Vapour Pressure Deficit), have you checked to see your RH isn't going crazy high (or low) at any times? (common during dark hours)

If your humidity is going way too high, plants can't transpire enough, so can result in some pretty wierd deficiencies or lockouts, likewise if its really low they can transpire too much.

Problems are caused because only some of the nutrients needed by the plant are transported via the transpiration effect, so with limited (or excessive) transpiration occuring, the levels of nutrients can become wildly imbalanced within the plants themselves, causing all sorts of phantom lockouts / deficiencies.

Thanks for the info. Never thought it could be a humidity issue.

In the largest room the min/max are:
Min 45%
Max 67%

I have a larger dehumidifier in each room

check yer roots for bugs

Will do.

This is 3 different rooms in different locations.. so I am really thinking it is either

-Too MUCH GH Calimagic (something to do with ca carbonate?)
-Something from the BTI (bacillus thuringiensis israelensis) Vectobac

-Gnat larvae damaged roots?

I am getting a scope and I hope not see broad mites, these have all been treated with Forbid prior 12/12.

I have also heard rumours before that if your current location / soil already has its own "strain" of BTI in it, adding your own can cause a kind of "fungus war" where the existing strain tries its hardest to wipe out that which you have introduced..

Dunno if it can cause these kind of problems, but just a thought.

The one location has gotten BTI from my teas and from Vectobac. Other location just Vectobac, no teas.

I found some gnats in the root zone, and some flyers still. Hit them with BTI again and ordered some predators.
