Intro

I wanted to drop in and say hello and introduce myself. I'm an old Vet from the Cali Boards..went off the grid for awhile and just relocated to Florida. Going to start up again sometime sooner than later and will try to be a regular contributor to the forums. I was one of the original BOG test growers and have tons of experience with multiple genetics.

I have to admit its like moving to a different world leaving California with a dispensary on what seemed like every corner to here where there isnt any.......times change and hopefully Florida can get onboard.

just wanted to say hello and I hope I can bring something to the table for ya'll soon.

Not sure which part of the state you are in, but where I am, the "rainy season" is May-Sept which kinda coincides with Hurricane season which officially ends Nov. 1.

It rains pretty much every day for a bit during the rainy season, I have found. Definitely not the So Cal weather of high 70s low 80s all year round....

Lee I was under the impression that NORML successfully lobbied here for more lenient mandatory minimums. I thought it was now 99 plants for the mandatory minimum to kick in.

Don't get me wrong 25 or more plants is still a felony, but I think the judge is empowered with discretion in that case.

poss cann less than 20 gms -- misdemeanor
poss drug parap -- mm if tested pos for thc / felony if test pos for cocain/meth

poss cann over 20 gms -- felony

cultivation = felony 1-25

min mandatory for over 25 plants and fed level can get tripped at 100.

know your laws here b/c as Lee stated they don't play.

just this am on the news......Hillsborough county a tip to crime stoppers led to grow bust...............................of 11 plants.

4 arrested.

I hope any here were not involved.

Morcheeba, I am not saying cutlivation isn't a felony. I am saying that I was under the impression that the Mandatory Minimums do not take effect until you get to 99 plants or are in possession of the threshold amounts.

I think the tip to crime stoppers leading to a bust means that the person/people growing pissed off their neighbors, weren't careful about making sure their operation was stealth or told too many people about their grow.

The other recent bust I am finding in Hillsborough came from a couple who was stealing electricity to power their operation. We all know that is the best way to get busted.

They just sentenced that guy (some where in the Tampa-Bay area) for 2 fucking plants. Then refused to let him use "medical defense" He ended up with paper. Don't remember if it was one or two years.
