Cultivars you'd like to see the community preserve.

Let's try to keep the hype and ultra modern kush name dropping to a minimum. There are all sorts of old lines whose breeders have either moved on, or passed away, and I'd like to start a thread encouraging those holding to make F2s or F3s or whatever Filial generation is held, and get these back to the community via the server fund. Let's make this thread in dedication to all the old names no longer with us.

Things I'm personally interested in seeing resurrected and spread:
Afropips' Malawi (I know we just had some f2s released by a member this Spring)
TH's Pine Tar Kush
GratefulH3ad's Casey Jones (LouDog, HoL, and Connoisseur all have lines but CJ was a wild hybrid and I'd like to widen our base as much as possible)
GreenGene's Cherry Bomb (I've 4 seeds from H3ad stuck away and will try to get these bred out someday)

As soon as I have some room in my plant count, I'm making f2's of pine tar kush. Hope I get a couple males to work with. I've seen a couple other guys mention having a good seed stash of ptk, so at least a good chance of PTK being available again.

Couple others I'd love to see again

Hey Carlos Danger, how bout these seedlines all restored to their original glory, Sensi's Hashplant, Black Domina, Mr. Nice, NL#5 x Haze, and Northern Lights. SOL's Original Blockhead, Federation's Romulan. Paradise's Sensi Star, THSeeds S.A.G.E., Bubblegum, and MKUltra. Serious' Pre2k AK-47, Kali Mist. Dutch Passion's Pre2k Blueberry. That's a few for now, will be back with another list and strains like Lionheart maybe even a few elites I don't see mentioned anymore.

The Pine Tar Kush is still around, will make some extra when I get around to my pack. Take care 1

I have a cache of NL#5/Haze from a 1987 grow I believe, maybe 30 seeds. The seeds themselves are from a more recent seed run but either '86 or '87 was the year. I'll put that on my projects list as well as the Cherry Bomb. I wish I could start these this week and not in a year or two.

I would love to see preserved the traditional outstanding cultivars before they are all gone forever, if they aren't already gone and it's not too late!

-Traditional Mexicans: Oaxacan, Acapulco, Michoacan...
-Traditional Africans: Congolese, Durban, Moçambique and so on.
-Traditional SE Asians from before, the high quality Thais, Cambodians and others dissapeared.
-The Lambsbread Jamaican, South Indian, Indonesian, New Guinea...
-Hashplant cultivars as Deep Chunk, PTK, Red Khyber, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, etc...

As for hybrids, seriously do you think stuff as C99 or Cheese or any trendy strains are really preservation material for the next generations (besides how good they can be or different tastes from growers)? I think anybody will find better stuff doing a huge ass Skunk1 or Skunk/Haze selections and stuff like that, as it's basically where absolutely all this is coming from haha. I don't think we really need to worry about modern hybrids unless they are very very special or something. Maybe some classic ones from 80s, first hybrids from California, Cultivators Choice and others if they contain very special genetics impossible to find nowadays unless mixed in that way. Otherwise, new hybrids can be made if we still have the original and different cultivars and the passion for them.

Peace.
