IMO GSC is one of the crappiest yielding and most overrated!

Not saying she's not top shelf quality, I think she's fuego ...just low yielding, overrated, and there are sooooo many other strains out there that are better all around that aren't getting their due because of "strain hyping" or catchy name tags. You can bash me all day if GSC is the best strain you ever grew in your life ....but my response will be you haven't lived yet!

All this strain hyping does is create a demand which creates chaos ....freakin' absurd that cuts of GSC are going around for 2 racks or more ...peeps wouldn't pay that much if it wasn't hyped the way it is!!!

Everyone has their own holy grail and some people have different needs than others, its nice to hear peoples opinions. I just acquired the cut myself and look forward to giving her a spin. I imagine in the right setup mono cropped she can yield well enough considering the high price of the meds.

If there are lots of better strains quality wise, I'm all ears though...

I was on the hype bandwagon, had a sample a cpl years ago, wasnt impressed a ton. So much so I wasn't in a hurry to drive a cpl hours to get the cutting when it was offered to to me last year. Finally made the trip a few months ago, got a sample and legit cut

Holy shit that's some tasty herb, I'm sold, based on flavor, effects and vigor she earned a spot in my garden. To hear she's such a low yielder surprised me considering how strong a grower she is. Ill see soon enough, on wk2 flower with my first run of cooks

Every grower has diff criteria
At least she's fast growing, far better than the sour lifesaver phenos I'm running..... The sls is the slowest growing strain I've come across in 18yrs, supposed to be very low yielding as well...... 3 bog strains ive run all slow growing and low yielding (bmr yielded alright just bland with an ave high)yet everyone waxes his carrot non stop about his breeding. I'd take anyone's GSC pollen chuck over the sls and BMR. Sour bub was great smoke at least.

Well ya, if you aren't getting that straight cookie dough flavor and smoke that puts folks down i would be bummed too. I too have smoked a buncha mediocre cookies, but when ya get it right yourself/someone does the hype makes more sense. Ive run through a lot of strains and these cookie cuts will stick around for a bit for flavor alone and ability to work them into other shit.

Yield just takes a good veg, and appropriate environment- then yield is not a problem. Definitely yields as good or better than real OG's...so if people wanna crop OG's, then cookies shouldnt be a problem imo.

What's good gritty? I'm growing out a cross I've made with a bit of your Stardawg cut in the mix bro, calling her Street Star (pre 95 Sensi Star x Straydawg) got 3 gals @ 14 days!

How many strains have you tried that you haven't grown and said they've sucked? ....I'm only human people ...and I've only said it was low yielding and overrated, not a crappy strain put your guns away please, I'm not here to start any shit so please refrain from starting any with me, thank you. where were you during the debate of people yielding so bad on this!! lol, (it was another thread and i said people were judging the yield too early in its "grow" life) - now that being said - I noticed someone said indirect light for growing the GSC - makes sense- DURBAN; i havent grown her yet, but veggin what i was told was the "Thin Mint" - she looks like she loves mg (og), and will take hard nutes (GDP), but would probably change the complexity and take away from the entire array she could offer. I think she is way overrated, but i do enjoy smoking it, and love the smell in the air; a good batch is ok, a great batch is def. chronny, and a shitty batch still has good flavor.... good herb is good herb, simple as that; its jsut ashame hype and rap music dominate the ganja market; but hey lets be grateful and not hateful....

I would imagine (Just as most strains)
Yields of GSC are dependent on pheno and/or cross.

Interesting observation on the lighting...
My cut yielded 64g from a 1 gallon smart pot
but showed no colors and was far from the bulb.
Same cut done with 2 x 600 way close
has brought out the purps and yellows...

I have 10 strains to smoke on..
All are great strains yet the only thing that
comes close to GSC is Lambsbread...
Really close in both taste and high and 3 levels
above any other strain I have to smoke on.

2 cents and yet another opinion... GSC Rock...
