Citric acid would be cool, but I want to stabilize my pH and phosphoric acid (I only need a few drops a quart) is supposed to hold it well. All my plants were flushed after the guano incident and are getting pHed water, enzymes, neem and worm castings.

Thanks WG, the new branches coming out of the bottom of the plant are pretty normal, but this plant has had it bad. It lost its cotyledon leaves as soon as it sprouted, and I have pulled and twisted it aggressively to get it to stop from growing into another in the same pot. She's still chugging along, and smells incredible!

I had a little auto bud just now and the bud I picked up was firmer and denser than the rest. I think it was from the tiny clone in the cup. The potency really put me on my tail!

Ohhh! This plant was that one, the one that just had the tiny fan. Mutation explains a lot.

WG, yes, but I think the missing cotyledon leaves may have been my fault. The plant was absolutely flourishing and looked perfectly normal until I got heavy handed with the high P guano in the hopes of kicking my girls into flowering. Stupid mistake...or you could be right, it could be a mutant. The other plant also clawed at the same time, but grew out of it. I pulled off the clawed and brown/dry leaves on that one. This one is a lot greener and has crazy leaves coming out of the buds. Those leaves are sticky with aromatic resin...

Both girls are filling out nicely, and the horny one looks like it's going to be a heavier yielder than the more normal-looking one. The Ice Cream mom is reaching for the sky--I may have to cut her down a little before flowering or she's going to be a monster! Even the skunk that was growing in a pot full of old roots and heavy medium is doing better after transplanting into a Smartpot. I'm heading out of town again and they just got their pre-flight watering that should tide them over until my return. No ferts this time, although I mixed in a touch of EWC, enzymes, pH down and neem oil. The Ice Cream got 1 ml/L of Plagron Alga Grow.

I'm leaving the air conditioner on during my absence so I don't come home to botrytis! The dehumidifier will be running too, but I expect it to fill up within the first 24 hours.

No sign of critters after the permethrin and aza root drenches. :)

Out of town smoking bud from the last auto I harvested last week. It tastes really great and much cleaner than the last plant for sure. I rolled a pinner in a torn-down OCB organic hemp paper and smoked it on the balcony in the pouring rain.

Finally home! My trip was extended due to unforeseen circumstances and I had my friend take care of my plants in my absence. Time for some Blumats I think! Both of my flowering females have grown well and fattened up nicely, but still need several weeks to really fill out and bulk up. I was having some odor issues, but realized the fan I have blowing into the tent from the outside was set on max, which wasn't allowing for negative pressure. I set it on low and my odor issues almost completely resolved themselves as my scrubber could handle the funk. :)

While I was gone, one of the side branches on my non-curly female grew into a CFL and got burnt, so I cut off the burned bud. I also lost an Ice Cream clone and my feminized Skunk (Seedsman I believe) was snapped in half! I considered taping it up, but instead cut through and decided to try and take a clone with the top. The bottom still has leaves, so I may end up with two plants instead of one in a few weeks.

I took three more Ice Cream clones today. One of the successful clones from a week ago was transplanted into the five gallon Smartpot to replace the one that dried up and died (I don't think my bud watered it enough) and I found a surprise seedling that has grown remarkably in the last nine days. I'm not sure what it is, but believe it might be an auto. If it flowers automatically in three to four weeks then I'll know what it is for sure!

My Ice Cream mom is getting so tall I had to prune her today. She was as tall as my tallest flowering female. I decided to try and take several clones from the tops--I'll thin out the weaker ones since I don't need all that many plants to fill my tent!

1 dead little plant isn't too big a deal - at least she wasn't one of a kind. The bottom 1/2 of that skunk will be fine if you lose the top so no sweat there either.

Good trip?

Sorry to hear of your loss. I grew a Seedsman Skunk and you will want to save that plant, very nice plant and smoke. Have a few grams of Ice Cream from a runt and have yet to try it.

Great trip! I was in Asia and did check out some grow supplies, but didn't want to buy anything I couldn't read the label on! I did buy some palm sugar to feed the microherd.

The skunk looked to have been recovering from the break, but I fiddled with it too much and made it worse. I should have just Saran wrapped and taped it up. Ah well! It looked a little limp, but fingers crossed at least one half of it survives.

I also seem to have critters again...from leftover soil in one of the cups I use for germing seeds in. I hit them with my German version of Azamax and threw some Gnatrol in for good measure.

So my flowering girls are about eight weeks from first pistils and look like they can go another week or even two weeks. I have enough bud from the last plant I harvested that I'm in no rush to harvest these two and will let them fatten up, which will give my cuts some much needed veg time before I make the switch! I may have to prune the Ice Cream mom again as topping her caused no slowdown whatsoever!

Decided to take the top nug from my severely clawed plant--the quality is exceptional. Loose, airy bud, but much larger pistils and bud leaves than the other auto AK/Widows I've grown so far. Stinky, sticky stuff! That's a full-sized Bic for size comparison. Not the largest bud, but it looks amazing!

I'll give the rest of the plant more time to mature.

Freshly harvested, it smells like a touch of sweet grapefruit, light skunk, maybe a little milk, and hash. It reminds me of Gray Mist (a strain from the Gray Area coffeeshop in Amsterdam). Trimming this stuff really gummed up my scissors! I took a few more nugs, but I'm trying to hold off from harvesting the rest.

Thanks raider, this little bud was from an AK-47 x Widow auto...the Ice Cream is still vegging. I'm hoping to run 5-6 Ice Cream clones at once.

Well, as WG predicted, the bottom of the feminized skunk is putting out new leaves and looks to be recovering, even though it only had one large fan leaf left. The top dried out, however. Still, I'm glad it is recovering. It looks like they still have several weeks of veg time before my second auto female is ready to take down, and what's left of the first (clawed) female could use another week or two.

That skunk should be a nice little bush before you know it.

Any chance you could post a pic o' plants?

The skunk is in that very dense potting mix that was stagnating my growth earlier this year--I should really have cut it with coco before transplanting the skunk seedling in. Ah well, the skunk seed was a freebie, so I wasn't overly concerned about it, but it seems like it might be interesting. Maybe I'll take a cutting once it has enough shoots.

I'll take some pics when I get a chance. I think leaving the flowering plants alone for almost four weeks in total without any HPS love (just CFL and LED) has hurt their yields somewhat. Fortunately one of the plants still has weeks to go, so she should beef up well before chop time.

I have a feeling the sprout that popped up is one of the auto seeds I made! It definitely has the indica looks. Let's see if it autoflowers...that will be the definitive trait for sure.
