First Time Growing from Seeds....Gender Time

This is my first attempt at trying something new. I've always done clones from proven strains but decided to try something new.

I have 3 going that have been in veg (18/6) for a while and this is what I see and suspect 2 are males

So I guess I'm looking for a second opinion.

One thing to remember too if you're not using feminized seeds, you're better off letting them run a little long and being sure rather than killing suspected males off early and possibly being wrong. Keep in mind that the male pollen parts don't instantly pop when they grow, you will be able to identify them easily as they're growing well before they might pollinate your other ladies.

Indeed. I wouldn't even try to sex 'em before switching to 12/12, either. It seems to take a week or more after that before anything meaningful happens.

Female pistils are unmistakable, and it seems to me that males have something that looks like a tiny crab claw on each side of the internode in earliest flowering.

Here are some better pictures (I Hope). There have been in 18/6 now for about 6 weeks.

First one

The Second one (Kinda bothers me)

* Has a spot on the left where a leaf was removed. But it has the banana cluster look to it.

Third is this guy

The bottom spot is where I broke a leaf off to get a decent pic.

I really want to clone these for a run to see what they can do.

you have time yo. i mean time to tell. it's not like on day 1 the balls are going to break open and pollinate everything inside of the room. things happen fast but not that fast. :blowbubbles:

but you're posting good pictures so i'll give it to you there. so what i've seen, there will be an additional bulb that comes out as well not simply the development of fan leaves and branching but a ball.

and you have some time before they develop to take them out of your garden.

glad to you crossing over :woohoo:
mother nature sayz  :yay:

go go :groupwave: go go

My main concern is going to far in flower and not being able to get my clones. Again as you can tell this is my first time trying this

You'll want to grow them out some more if you're going to chop them up for clones and still have some plant left to place in flower. So you have plenty of time to sex them.

I cut a few clones before going into 12/12 just to make sure I keep a few going. I was alway told that after week 2 of flower you can forget about cloning because its too far to go back. Is this true?

You're already in 12/12? Some people successfully take cuts way into flower. Others have the results you described. Well you can always try to reveg a flowered plant if it turns out to be special.

Here are some Pictures after 2 weeks of 12/12 and the flowering has begun.

Plant #1

Plant #2

Plant #3

So any help is very appreciated. I don't want to spend too much time on a lost cause nor do I want seeds so the faster I figure this out the better.
