IMO GSC is one of the crappiest yielding and most overrated!

its just not an easy strain to dial and doesnt like direct intense light. feed her light to medium and dont smash her with the bloom boosters. 2lb per 1k is possible if you know what your doing....
this and some root space and she is a producer.
No offence symbiote, but try again and do better next time.
There seems to be a definite learning curve when it comes to some growers getting the gsc done right for some reason, even good growers like you symbiote! I've seen it before. They are so used to be able to dial every other plant they grow, so they then resort to bashing and blaming the plant. Yet most of the growers that have cookies do well with it and love it. Go figure....
Btw I love GSC.
Have you even grown the GSC, or just a random comment? To each their own I guess, but I love my forum cookies.

No offence taken, but I haven't grown her myself because I've been too busy with other gear atm but I've given the forum cut to quite a few peeps that are no slouches in a growroom .....from what I've seen it's not even worthy enough to enter my grow. I'm not hating and I'm not saying she wasn't dank, it just wasn't nothing to be writing home about either ....guess I'm spoiled!!
I'm for quality over quantity all day everyday, one of my peeps got her to yield very nicely in DWC but the flav was compromised. The peeps who grow organically like me are producing Charlie Brown Xmas tree plants but the yields are crap-py, like 2 zips on a 5 - 6 ft plant .....I remember a time when peeps used to cull plants like this!!

i am just about to run gsc x sssdh and with the greatest respect you are putting yourself in the firing line by making assumptions over a strain you have never grown,,,maybe if you run them yourself you may have a different outcome,,,,peace and regards s2
How exactly does a strain that supposedly doesn't like direct, intense light yield 2 lb under a 1000w light? Do you just grow it on the edges of the light footprint? If so then you could do 4 lb by having another big yielding strain under the main light field. Do you just put the 1000w light way up so you are wasting light? Why not just use 250w or 400w light?
How many strains have you tried that you haven't grown and said they've sucked? ....I'm only human people ...and I've only said it was low yielding and overrated, not a crappy strain put your guns away please, I'm not here to start any shit so please refrain from starting any with me, thank you. So let's see, 5 outta 50 growers can get her to yield well so the 45 others can't grow? The standards for strains and crosses is going downhill faster than I thought if we're settling for shit breed with hermed out and unworked genetics in the genepool ...hell that sucks more than GSC yields to me!

not so much the light is too bright but more like too hot on the plants canopy. ogs, sours, cookies all dont do well when the buds get hot. all the oil flashes off and the product ends up dry and odor free. so yes, lift the lights.

GSC is like a super hot chick that's dumb as a box of rocks.

This is EXACTLY what I've learned from growing one plant! I couldn't figure out what was going on as other strains are doing fine under the same conditions. She stopped taking nutes for a couple of weeks so I knew it was overfed. It's also still in a small pot which I didn't want to change because she's already in full flower. So yeah, hold back on the nutes, give the roots room to grow.
