* I've found the same sort of thing in trail running. That is....with trail running: I'm alone with myself...and not influenced by anything...other than...what I experience myself. I can't copy style...can't be drawn in by other entities...it's all me and the environment. It's my world.

Yup. 100% on the money. Hell...I star in my own movie.

Ran today in these balmy conditions. Started slow...for about a 1/2 mile...I stayed slow..

then out of nowhere...the legs wanted to run....so I let the feet go. Cranked out a powerful run...talking out loud to myself at times

"losen the hips...there you go...relax dude"

" hit it...hit it"

" come ooooonnnn....maaannnnn get that shit"

" yeah yeah yeah"

"relax dude relax dude relax dude"

"let them go let them go"

Sometimes I hear myself yelping out some crazy stuff...especially in the heat...talking in tongues..as it were

I love running in the heat...better than any sweat lodge

Hum....well

Hum....well

My indoor studios are in such a situation...that things need to move. In the early hours of the a.m. I began dismantling one of the Hell Hound IX1S1 sisters. She is 58 days into flower...and flushed for over 10 days.

This is her biggest top...although...there are several more that are not far off...this one just happens to have been the longest..and appeared as the main (even though she had been topped)

^ As I said before....very much like Odessa...and Odessa has always been very much like Casey Jones (being Odessa is 2 parts Casey and 1 part C99)...........so

...to me: a very sativa dominant flower structure with a very short flower time.

Could this plant have gone longer?

Yes...of course...could have pushed her to 70 for a way late window...but I doubt it would buy me anything. Space and Time are more a value.

* Part of my decision to start hauling her in...was made easier...by sampling her lower flowers I took on day 56. Dried quick in a hot room with low RH (my veg studio)...I started vaporizing the flowers yesterday evening....shazam man...shazam. No need to keep her going. Funky as hell...really reminded me of some F1 Casey Jones in undertone. Not fuel...not berry...kind of a sweet floral. Keep it at funky.

** I'll finish the harvest tomorrow..get her out of the way..as I have my Queen Mox clone...pushing hard for a better spot...becoming an unreasonable girl with a very healthy stretch. I need to get her into a position...where I can get her raftered up. She's ready to start kicking out flowers.

more harvest flowers

more harvest flowers

Same plant as above

Good yielder...these are some of the better tops. Not that difficult to trim...almost all Grade A and Grade B buds...not really anything Grade C

They'll dry fairly light...but not feathery. Happy with the harvest

* I have yet to find any self beans....which is a bummer...as I'd like to have some

Red Krox Transplant

Red Krox Transplant

Red Krox = Red Kali Most F5 X Mox Krox F1

Mox Krox = Mox Mox X Grape Krush

Mox Mox = Chem DD X TFlux

TFlux = Original Flo X Chem DD

One female...that's what I have. There are no more seeds of this cross. A one off

Transplanted her from a 1.7 gal square into a 5 gal smart pot. She has been topped only once. I'll veg her for a week or so longer...then put her into flower...

IF....the Mox Krox doesn't keep her flower time down...if when she starts flowering...she looks like she'll want to go past 70 days...I'll cull her ass out...bam...on the spot. I will know by week 4 if she gets to finish

This could be the last picture we see of her...it's all up to her. Lots of DJ Short in there...lots of Rez in there...lots of Mr. A in there...a red and attractive girl. I'd expect some fine flowers from her

* Up before dawn....went running up some trails with the wife. I try to run with her...at least twice a week. Up and down hills for an hour or so....before the sun makes it too hot for her.

lol, those fat sativa lookin leaves say "70 days? pssshh,as if...but the kundelini express leaves in 87-90 days...

went for a little trip today,32.6 miles,2:14 pedaling time, average 14.2 mph, hauled about 25-30 lbs in the trailer.."simulated load training"...well i did use the bowl and stash and the cooler for lunch at any rate...got some weeks of pedaling to put in before im ready for hours on the road, felt pretty good most of the day, tried to take it easy and not kill myself, figure i really only need to be able to hold somewhere around a 12.5 mph average pace to make 100 mile days reasonable for 8 hours pedaling...well duh, thats just math after all...the reality on the road is turning out to be another matter...but i have only had the rig for a month now,at least the bike comp got installed a month ago and i got serious about riding, odometer is at 418 miles as of tonight, could be more, but i have days with only a few miles with the press of keeping up with everything here, and i should note i probably hauled close to 1000 lbs of crap during that time....baked,post exercise fugue state....calories...fluids...

Right on Unc. Totally understand the miles through math thingy...and how it can not make much sense...once terrain is factored in. I've given up on trying to track miles...just logging in the hrs in a notebook...so I can see how long my shoes last. These new shoes (the Merrell Ascends) are probably the best shoe I've trained in. Love them.

Like I said...ran with the wife this morning. I run at my own pace..out in front of her...then will go back and make sure she's doing ok...then run ahead...then go back...

I find I have to run at my own pace...or I'm out of sync..tripping over stuff..getting hung up...and even fell one time right in front of her..because I was distracted by the off pace. I blast off...so I do get some work in while she does her thing. But really...it's more or less..an off day when I run with her.

Tomorrow I'll get a good one in....then Thursday..I'll be training her again. I keep her from getting lazy out there...have her run some sections faster...have her rest on some sections...verbally check her form....not that she always appreciates the drills. She cops an attitude sometimes...so I'll run off and leave her for a while. When it gets steep...I leave her alone.

I'll be on the yoga mat tonight...stretch out/fuel up for tomorrow..

Space and Rotation

Space and Rotation

Again...to bed late and up before the sun. Very favorable weather conditions here with...more on the way. All my gardens are rolling out food and mind candy. The trails will be in the mid 90's today...I will be melting into them...in all hopes..of becoming my liquid form...running where the terrain aims.

With this moon...and these conditions....I have not much time to rest. Eating well...feeling good...expect to be powering. When the conditions are right...go full tilt...charge it

Space:

On day 60...I cut this Hell Hound IX1S1 down. She is just like her sister...when her wire ties were undone...I had to stand in front of a 1000 HPS bare bulb...to keep her from flopping into it...carefully(but quickly) catching up her branches of flowers and trying not to burn myself. Try that all stoned in the wee hrs of morning...you'll find it...sporting

^ Nice one...but then again...Hell Hound is my thing. I love them all. I'm in love with my entire garden right now....finally...I have started to make peace with it. There is much reward in being ruthless...shut all compassion down. Nature does not reward compassion. Stop pretending...stop being influenced by status quo

Rotation:

With the harvest of the 2 Hell Hound IXS1 sisters...space was made available for these plants

^ Strange Days on the left and the Queen Mox (Mox Mox) clone on the right...day 21. This is the 1st time I've run a clone in a very long time. Two different types of plants and structures here...the Queen Mox has already been heavily supercropped to keep her in the light footprint...whereas...the Strange Days is stalky and bushing out vigorously...but doesn't require height adjustments

Strange Days = Blue Moonshine X BS 2.2

Anyway...those girls are tied into position...in front of the 1000. They will be brawling each other for space..and I shall..happily referee the match. My foot is into them...their motors are tuned.

And...into flower goes

^ That's a stalky expression of Hell Hound IX1. I topped her once...and have been vegging her in a 5 gal smart pot....for weeks. She is one of those girls...that just doesn't want to grow fast or tall. I've had these before. Worth flowering...so in she goes. I have the space.

* This plant was started in a different batch...than the batch I'm using to make Hell Mox. She is not being bred...not a part of the Hell Mox project.

Looking great! Strange Days...I had some fun a while back with Blue Moonshine as well as the blue sat...never thought of the combo...sounds tasty!

I just started a test for GSC...fems. I figured what the hell...I'll keep the tweezers close. SCSDxSSSDH...a couple of my favs. My other project is winding down...I hope. I think this lady below will be the new clone...she's old..94 today!!! I'll take her in a few more days.

Blury...but at full res it's a trippy pick

Looking outstanding. I remain interested in the work you are doing...we have similar tastes in herb.

Keep hearing about GSC...but I'm so out of the loop...haven't even gotten to sample it. Honestly...I rarely vaporize anything that I didn't grow.

* Up for a quick indoor gardening session...then taking the wife out for a run on the trails...at 7. Going to be a hot...and possibly wet next few days.

60 day flowers

60 day flowers

I trimmed these Hell Hound IX1S1 flowers last evening...from the plant harvested yesterday morning

* ran for 1:21 with the girl...under some cloud cover..a moon...a sun. Good run. She puts in the effort...and it's a cool thing we can do together. The nature here...is fantastic...the summer mountains alive with chatter

Moon Run

Moon Run

Up predawn....the moon goes one way...the sun comes up the other way. Shift change

Great weather...heading out for a morning run into a canyon. Moisture in the air...had a cell go over the desert last evening...and now awaiting another hot day...with unstable conditions...

so perfect for slamming trails

and now...

and now...

the run is done. Max effort for 1:47....started on a ridge side still...encompassed by moon affect..the shades more cool and dark..lots of shadows...then up and through a saddle...bringing me into the sunrise on the other side of the ridge..and into a wave of heat. Ran well

came home and fed the Scrub plant

^ I'm hitting her everyday with veg and bloom nutes...lots and lots of water. It's hard to overwater here. She gets a lot of sun...and has plenty of growing companions to keep her in conversation

did you ever pin down what it is?

I have no idea...but

I do remember throwing a handful (because I had lots of them) of

Odessa IX1 X Tweedy IX1

out that way. Tweedy was made by RM and is Mango Haze X F13 if I remember correctly....anyway

it's such a strange plant...it got me to wondering..that because Tweedy was a weird plant expression RM found..that maybe..that's what this scrub plant is. Seems to be taking her time to flower...as I recall..my previous OD plants are usually further along by now. Just a weird plant..

I really don't know...I've thrown so many seeds out there (over the years)...and overturned the earth many times..anything could pop...

that makes sense then,it didnt really look like any of your lines in the bud structure and leaves....i recall the mango haze as being a pretty good buzz,a real cut through strain since it just erases any other high you may be on..

I have a good feeling about her. I've never seen a plant take such abuse...and keep hanging in there. I gave her less than a 50% chance at surviving the deliberate..brutal transplant...and of course...a 50% chance at being female....so I mean...she's stayed loyal. I find myself spending more time with her...and I am being ever caring now.

Crazy how seeds find a way to make it....guess that's what keeps me coming back to them. I wasn't even going to have an OD plant this summer...but here we are

Day 53

Day 53

SFV OG Kush X Blue Satellite 2.2IX1 (from SOL seeds..I did the incross)

The plant on the right in each picture (or back or whatever) has been put into flush...a few days ago. She is the one who reeks like Ruby Red Grapefruit.

Here are some 1/2 ass flower shots

^ I've seen this expression...or should say..a similar expression when I grew (and bred with) Federation's Mikado.

* The other plant looks like she is going to be like a Blue influenced OG Kush...which I've also seen...when growing the 1st generation of this cross. I can't recall exactly...but there's a good chance I used that expression when making the IX1 beans. Very nice plant.

Hopefully I'll be starting her into flush soon...as I'm starting to feel she may even want to surpass 70 days (unless she flushes out fast like her sister seems to be doing)

Mud

Had to catch up on some mud making. It's a combination of Mox Mox and Red Kali Most F5....73 micron and 25 micron....took a quick 15 minutes to recover...once everything was thawed out and organized.

* Trained the wife again this morning...for 1:43...on trails fresh off an early morning rain. Colors brightened by the precipitation...RH at 100% as we ran...in the drizzle....finding no prints besides our own

Satechism IX1 Sisters: Day 40

Satechism IX1 Sisters: Day 40

Satechism = Casey Jones X Blue Satellite 2.2

^ these plants are near identical in all ways. Thick branched and thick flowered. I get waves of...ho hum..now..and then..when I look at them. Why is that?

easy to manage expressions..easy on the eyes..easy decent yield...

don't know. I don't find myself that interested in them...in the grand scheme of things. The chaotic flow of why shit works for me...or why shit doesn't work for me..gives me my only defense. It is what...it is

and what it is....is...that I have expressions in my studio...that are far more interesting for me...to cultivate.

* I'm about to get my head dunked under by another BS 2.2 related plant...the Strange Days (BMS X BS 2.2) is turning into something I did not expect...I'll show her again...when I can get my head back to the surface...after this dunking...when I'm sure I have a grip on things. She's not looking like a less than 70 day expression...fuck

** been up since 4:30....took care of my indoor gardening..then ran for 1:20 side sloping hillsides on game trails..breaking off to take every uphill climb...lifting knees leaning back..keeping upward momentum whilst keeping all important traction

Running off trails....way hard...the hill pitches way steeper...the footing way more compromised...the brush way sharp

Constantly keeping the legs going...really key...as when it gets so steep that I'm using my hands to pull/push myself along..I can't afford to slip out. Losing momentum ends the ascent...the rule is then to...immediately turn back down. The old skool "mountain climber" exercise...must have its roots from where I'm...talking from

Bombing down hills...following the terrain..crashing brush...is fun as hell. It's like any other downhill sport...carving...ripping...less all the gravity

My legs are gassed
