H&L - Appalachia - Working Mans Dank test grow

Started 2/16 Got 4 females off 8 seeds that sprouted out of 12. The seeds could have used a scuff, some of them could not shed the shell. I am really happy with what I got, chromed out spear colas.. Hoping to get them chunkier next time with better training/placement and more food earlier on.

We are just starting flush. These girls were by all means used and abused, had to bump them to a homies garden who graciously accepted and cared for the ladies... They were honestly severely neglected on my part as I was scrambling trying to find a new place and stressing tough.. Just about every kind of issue barring severe light poisoning and not a single nanner popped.. There was some sort of gnat infestation, I thought it may have been aphids as well.. But that subsided once the watering was on point, was most likely too wet before... Wasn't able to get cuttings off of them but I hope to reveg them, they are super chromed out chunky sativa spears. These girls EAT too, the soil we had them in was amended generously and was only enough for them to eat for like 20 days max. They were finished on a strict diet of 6/9 general hydro modified lucas h34d formula stuff.. 5.5-5.8 ph. They got super chunky for how far they are from the light.. They were flowered net to some Daywrecker girls that straight light hogged the room and are still turning out super fire.. Going to give them a proper run all LST'd out if I can get them to reveg... Stay tuned.

:thank you: H&L These are DANK! Went through a move with me and are finally flowering out the kind for me.. I'll come through with a detailed smoke report off many jays once these are 1-2 weeks cured, nice and crispy.. Cant wait to either run these girls again or get more seed whenever they drop. Super fine sativa.. Hopefully get some harvest pictures with the DSLR.

Thanks soopy, I'm stoked on how these flowers are finally turning out.. Hope to get a healthy mom off each of em and see what they can do without issues.

Nice, can't wait to see harvest shots!

Good luck getting them to reveg. I have had to reveg Green Crack multiple times and it always takes so hopefully that passes down in the genetics.

I never actually scientifically ID'd whatever it was.. Wasn't mites, leaning towards a small starting Aphid/Gnat infestation.. Through flower once we applied teas + corrected the slight overwatering going on, we didn't see any after that.. It was REALLY bad in veg though lol, was fucking pulling my hair out trying to keep them alive, shit was hectic.

Seen the ladies today, hooooooooohhh my god... I have so much flower lust for these hoes, I want them to be a month cured already.. The date is set for day 71, the DSLR will be present with full plant shots/macros before/after we chop..

Didn't end up getting a chance to photograph the results with a DSLR.. Ended up choppin, got some cool macros though.. Very nice trich coverage, long stalks... Mostly slightly milky heads with a good bit of clear.. Right where I like my Sativas :D

So while processing the first ID'd female "Appalachia #1" the top nug was snapped off.. And subsequently dried before the others... I just snapped the lowest nug on the stem and I am very tempted to smoke the rest... Upon crumbling the nug apart for bowl plugging a strong sour musky whiff is birthed.. Very much Chem-sour funkiness, with a very faint background sugariness... Smoke is surprisingly smooth and tasty for fresh/quick dried.. The hit lingers in the chest for a second, then gives way to an electric Sativa body buzz.. First bowl when I got home so nice fresh pallette smoked some blueberry afterwards.. The blueberry didn't cut through it at all.... Smoking more now..

Two more snaps, very fucking nice stuff. Poddy ass sativa stackage, chromed the fuck out, greasy, sour fucking bite to the funk and toke.. Buzz is heady, clarified dome with a very sweet sally body buzz... 71 days seems perfect, I want to try her at 80-90 though :D

Really hoping this one will reveg so I can see what she is capable of in a more stable environment.. The smoke truly leaves nothing to be desired... Can't wait to smoke a few fat jays of this pheno to the dome... This pheno was tied for frost with another, the #3 I think... More of a chunkier chemdawg nug on that one, leaves were mostly the same though.. I am very stoked and think I may have found my favorite Sativa, I generally lean for sour/earthy tasting smokes and less for sweet/floral ones.. Greasy sour ass sativa poles for sure, very stoked..

edit; Smoke report is on the same nug pictured in the macros...

Smoked the last jay of this stuff a few mornings ago.... Beautiful wake up toke.. Smooth funky taste with a clarifying and motivating high, goes well with coffee and a bike ride in the marine layer. I got 4 phenos that all revegged beautifully, one of them really stood out during the reveg. She is a stout bush with countless nodes and branches. The other three are a bit more scraggly looking, they reacted with a bit of burn to an IC3 oil spray while the stouter bush shows no burn..

The second round will be upon me shortly and I cant wait to see what she can do with no issues.

Reveg success - 2 phenos to round 2

Reveg success - 2 phenos to round 2

So I got two plants I like out of one pack;

Appalachia #2

This plant was a beast on the reveg, totally reverted in mere days and had a very quick and hearty veg. Propagating her out several times and going to be doing a run with her shortly.

And Appalachia #4

This is the Cush-dom pheno of the pack without a doubt. Soaring head high with a total fuel nose and exhale. Beautiful frost on her, she and #4 are getting their own light for a flower run.

Yeah, thanks for the write up! Do you have any other updates? I'm trying to get a handle on what to expect with the Appalachian Diesel I have going now.

Well my lease ended at kind of a weird time for my grow, so I just kept everything in veg. the 2 Appalachia ladies and 1 FAT glue momma are now sitting under a 1k. Waiting on a new bulb and some cuts to root before flowering them out.. Also bought a bunch of shit that should solve my cloning issues, along with upping my temps.. Everything is fucking huge right now.

It might be a little too late for you now but have you ever looked into making your own bubble cloner? I made one from a writeup on this site and will never fool with a humidity dome again! I have really good luck now and I don't even use rooting hormone. Different strokes for different folks though right?

If you ever think to though could you post some pictures of your app diesels? If it's a hassle then don't worry about it but I'd like to know how much stretch to expect. Also, did you notice any different phenos with yours or are they both the same?

You never got ahold of the Appalachia f3s did you?

Thanks!

Your Appalachias were beautiful. I always saw crosses of it but not the appy itself. Thanks for sharing and good luck with the cloning.

Chem 4 x Appalachia
ECSD x Appalachia
PRE98 Bubba Kush x Appalachia

These I totally expect to be badass... One light of those phenos, one light of Gorilla Glue to kick off the new spot.
