I've been handwatering coco in pots for years but not any more.

I gutted my 12/12/room over the summer and fitted concrete impregnated boards to soundproof the floor so it's now nice and quiet in the room below.

Two danish trays, each 2 x 1 m, 2 air cooled hoods over each tray. Each pair of lights is cooled by a 150mm adjustable fan running at half speed. Each has a remote sensor to an over ride so's they kick in at full speed if it gets too warm.

Got a 250 liter rez in the corner, Maxijet 1000 lph pump to two sets of 12 top spin drippers.

Plan is to run 12 girls per tray though currently there's only ten on each as that's all I got. Strain is Skunk Special from Female seeds. I think there's 2 Grapefruit from the same company in there as well.
These girls have been sitting in my veg room for months waiting for the off. They've been pruned again and again to hold em while everything else was sorted. To be honest, the strain ain't the best and these ain't the best examples but like I said, it's what I got. Plus side is I've run these girls over and over again so they're one less new thing to get my head around.

They had their first bout of 12 hours darkness yesterday.

Still ain't got my head around pics yet. Above is the new soundproofed flooring, the fancy gadget that turns a 15min segmented timer into a minute one for the pump and the 1000w ballasts.

The ballasts aren't running yet, I'm running my old 600s until the new heat wave they reckon is coming has passed. So a coupla weeks and they'll be fired up.

Forgot to say, I'm using those fancy Star Trek lookin air pot thingies, mainly coz they look so cool:tiphat:

Already found a few faults;-

The two extract/cooling fans need to move coz I keep banging my head. Seemed like the best location for them but I can see a beter spot to put them next run.

I got a lil pump to circulate nutes in the rez but it's way too small so I got a bigger on on order.

Should have got 4 sets of topspins so as I can have two drippers per pot. I'll sort that for the next run as well.

yeah man i see em if there 6l airpots one is fine there quite narrow pots 10l ap will require two or you could do what i have done and replace the dripper stake for a t piece and save some cash

im using some different root pruning pots now there shorter but wider not made my mind up on them yet but there easier to use as you dont have to take them apart everytime

that's a sweet setup harry, best o luck with it.

Thanks Al. It's all a bit scary and new at the moment.

I'm a great grower and a crap one. Great because I've been churning this stuff out five - six times a year for years, keeping my patients well, paying the bills, keeping food on the table ect.
Crap because I've only averaged 12 - 13 ounces per 600 light.

Figured it was time to change my game ftw.

Yes, they're 6 liter pots. Good to know I'll be okay.

Are those the fabric pots you're using?

They look cool. In my space headroom might become an issue (though not with the SS I'm running now) so a coupla inches lower might make all the diference, espially when I fire up the 1000 watters.

Have you used these before?
