All the hype that people are trying to dish out about the "Real" GSC's is completely undermined by all the "Fookies" and bad seed bank reps and people who say its clone only and noone has made them S1's yet and so on and so forth. I already hate this strain before Ive even tried it. It makes me freakin dizzy just reading the stories about it.
Its too bad... because if it is truly the dank, its getting a worse rap then BCBD.

What up nkatadelgormo? If you live in the bay, you should check out the gsc from magnolia wellness in oakland. I went last Wednesday because it's 4.5 eights all day. And for being a new patient, you can choose a gram of any top shelf. Between me and friend, we got eights of Stardawg, Og Kush, and Gsc. And our free grams were headband and kosher kush. The total was 165 for 15.5 grams...All the batches had really nice pieces. A few other strains looked really nice but had that hydro/musk/fert smell. The stardawg might have been the best imo but I really thought that was the best club sample of cookies. If I go back, I'll probably try the Alpha blue. It looked and smelled better than anything but for some reason (blue dream), I steered away from it...

The name of this thread bothers me. the hype around any strain that gets popular and the following B.S. made up about their cuts makes me want to jam my fingers in my eyes in hopes that I can unread some of the dumb shit I have heard over the years. This is why I only grow stuff that has a clear linage and I post that linage in my smoke reports. I post who made the beans, how many times it was crossed, to what it was crossed with, and the method of crossing. I assume most of these strains with no clear linage, good or bad, are stolen from people that worked hard to make them and then renamed, and/ or a random bean found in a sac by a novice smoker and given to a decent grower who passed around their cut.

I've seen Animal, OGKB, Forum, and some early samples from before we had what is now referred to as the "Forum" cut. They were all really nice herb. So far the only person who I've seen be able to grow the OGKB well is Norcal. Everyone else usually ended up with it dwarfed by all their other plants.

For me the Animal and Forum that I've seen are nicer than any samples I've seen at the clubs or from other people of supposed GSC. It's nice herb, and that's what's up. At this point I don't think any of us actually care anymore.

I haven't had any of my own in a while, so it will be nice when I'm able to have a fresh jar of it for myself. It doesn't matter how high the potential of the cut is, if you're a sub par grower. For the record there are lots of sub par growers out there.

^it is not about the name. it is about the work that went before it was named. People just find some random nug that is similar and then rename it a "new" cut of a strain that is popular. The strain is popular because an actual breeder worked their ass off for years to develop it. then Some noob steals their name so they can sell their nug, and they have no idea about the actual linage or if that cut is even related.

It is if I decided to build my own cars and call them BMWs, even though only the air filter is a BMW part, and the rest is god knows what. The car maybe just as bad ass or better than a BMW, but it would still just be considered an HZ custom by any professional mechanic or lawyer, and if I was to sell my custom car as BMWs I would be rightfully sued, and shut down.

if you have to buy some GSC seeds theres a bunch of other guys who may have beans with at least 50% real GSC in them... honestly you will have a hard time finding anything like the clone, your best bet is to just come out here and buy a cut from harborside platinum GSC and you will have something some what close to the real deal. cookiefam claims to be releasing something at the end of this year, but honesty this whole cookie shit has really got their egos inflated and i dont even think i will be supporting them either..

most ICmag folks have common decency to share and donate untested projects...there isnt alot of BS within the IC community it gets called out real quickly, the thieves are all over in hightimes and on other seedbanks..... BCBD and a few of the other outfits are mass producing shit just to fill all the orders from their advertising...i highly doubt they actually do any real breeding. how can a company offer 50+ strains and yet only have a small grow op...thats ridiculous as fuck to even think about, to truely breed all those strains you have to run hundreds and hundreds of seedlings. my guess is they get a bunch of clones then open pollinate everything with the same male...they arent popping their own gear and running back through it. i check BCBDs feed and see their updates they are such a bogus outfit im just fucking amazed people fall for their shit....most IC closet breeders probably do more real breeding than fucks like swerve and BCBD...


i remember swerve claiming he ran 350 testers of one of his crosses, people pressed him for proof so he posted a picture of 100 seedlings in a shitty half drywalled garage grow, in veg crammed together so hard there would be no room to flower them out. that was 3+ months ago and nobodys seen shit since....

I guess cut names wouldnt bother me if I knew it was being spread in an overgrow fashion and not sold. A lot of icmag folk have the over grow, and johnny apple seed mentality too. we really just like the idea of over whelming the government with so many growers that they cant maintain any sort of real control. The best way to make more growers is give them free seeds and grow help. In the short term it may lower the cost of bud and hurt pocket books, but in the both the short and long term more available cannabis is beneficial to the entire planet in my opinion.
