Yep, just what the local Menards carrys for mold & mildew... MagniKhan got it right

I actually wanted to use: http://www.usg.com/sheetrock-glass-mat-mold-tough-firecode-x-panels.html

But they're $25+ a sheet

eeek!

Man after my own mind, I build my box's like tanks. And try to anticipate issues, like you've done by using mildew resistant dry wall.
I do my electric the same way, if I can get away with a 14g wire I still use 12g. I use romex in any space where I can inadvertently hit the feed wires and use good EMT box and fitting.
I've seen to many grows in the paper due to electrical fires and such.

Good job and good luck!

Be Safe,
MK:ying:

Same here, I put a lot of brain hours into this project... bought the house 5 months ago, spent a lot of time drawing out how the basement was going to be finished so I'd have enough room to satisfy mommy's walk in closet and daddy's work area, plus laundry room, storage space, and boiler room.

All electrical is going to be in 1/2" EMT INSIDE the drywall in the rooms (with the only exception being a 4' shop light in the veg area it'll have an in-wall switch).

How I was originally going to run conduit, then it was a FUCKING PAIN IN THE GOD DAMN ASS AND I CAN'T BEND CONDUIT TO SAVE MY LIFE. So I decided just to surface mount 2 boxes on the wall and run from that, drilling a hole through the drywall on the back to add wire clamps.

The rest is pretty straight forward, only got the veg area wired up so I could move plants out of another area of the basement into the locked room.

Veg light on, I'm ordering a 36x72" Wire rack made for foodservice (shelving for freezers/restaurants). Something just like this: http://www.amazon.com/Nexel-Chrome-Extra-Wide-Shelves/dp/images/B007386SD0

Probably going to "add-a-shelf" that's 24x36 to make a big L that comes down the wall past the conduit and electrical. It'll give me a little room for working and keeping a seedling tray or something on a heated mat, plus more storage.

My light will hang from the top rack, plants in the middle, and maybe 20" on the bottom for storage/seedlings/cloning

AANNDD... what everyone's been WAITING to see... I'm not done, I'll be moving these bitches around some more. The 5 big ones are READY to flower.

:thank you:

More to come, I'll be adding doors, trim, cleaning floors again, getting "everything" spotless clean... then I'll be going onto the drying closet, wiring all the ballasts and flower lights, so don't stop reading yet!

I love the build your doing, things look great. I may be looking into a house soon where I will have a similar basement. I hope to do things just as nice as you have here. Look forward to see how the rest comes out, and see it in action!

Thanks guys. Glad to get good feedback. I've put a lotta work in this and hope it pays off... still got LOTS to do.

I took a few days off to relax... cleaning the rest of the basement, picking up my messes and organizing my tools are also right at the top of the to-do list.

badass man! lol bending emt is hard if you never do it. Your bending skills don't look to bad imo why not just run romex in the walls or mc I wish I could give you a hand...that's a dream space cant wait to see what you do with it...

This is a dream setup for a home grow. If you got any more professional about it it'd border on a commercial setup. I look forward to updates!

Do you do anything as far as odor control? Also will you be running this as sealed, or did I miss the ventilation?
