my tent is actually about 9.5 x 9.5 which puts me at about 46.5 w/sq ft. i only have 3 1k's right now as well as 4 6's. i think i will give it a go like this. i only had 600's until recently i came up on a bunch of gear on CL for dirt cheap so now i have 3 1k's to play with. my wife will shit herself if i spend more money on equipment right now lol. i did get 3 nice air cooled hoods i can sell off locally and come up on some more 1k's possibly. but then i will have to wire more power to my spot which is another issue. cant have an electrician in there and my skills are not quite up to code lol. ive done a sub panel in my home but it was definitely not up to code haha.

thanks again

ive got a chemmy jones cut that fits the bill quite nicely, as well as an unverified blue dream cut that should do good if it is what they say it is, but who knows these days?

i would never bring in an outsider. i will read read and read some more and then DIY. i switched all the outlets in my home, rewired fans and similar stuff so ive got the gist of it, but when working with electricity its better to know than to hope you know lol

wiring a new circuit is easy peasy, if you have changed outlets it's really just a couple more steps

what is the training regimen for this style of trees? do you supercrop to produce multiple tops? i have some blue dream cuts that i was gonna run DJM style with bigger bushes like 2-3 per horizontal 1k but i think i will try out this vertical bare bulb thing for real. they have been supercropped a shitload already so they are nice and round but BD is supposed to stretch pretty good so when i flip they will stretch up and out theoretically. hopefully they will still be OK for this style of growing. if not i can flower them small in my 5x5 under 1k and veg out some proper structure cuts with long veg time. lucky for me i have equipment and room to spare for once!

here are a couple shots of the plants structure to see if they will work out or not. the plants in question are the top right 3 bushy gals. the second pic is my idea for utilizing the corner light that would otherwise be wasted. i figure toss a few of my low stretch AK in the corners because the get dense as shit and arent picky at all.

less veg time is ideal but i definitely dont mind trying out one monster with its own dedicated 1k in its own 5x5. that would be sweet and a good way to compare gpw under all the same conditions except for light style.

smart thinking about not crowding out the corners. thanks guys. im allowed 12 si i'll just run my extra 8 in a 5x5 with a 1k and have a nice bumper crop! i could set up a second tent with the same setup BUT i dont know if i can add power to the panel. on the surface of the panel there are no free knockouts but i think thats just the cover so renters dont do any stupid shit with electricity lol. i'll pop off the cover and take a peek later tonight. if i could run more power in there i could do EXTREMELY well. its a 20x30 space but its only got about 6 20 amp circuits at the moment.

the central is on its own breaker and its a brand new energy efficient unit so im good on that. you you think i could just disconnect 2 of the 20 amp breakers and do a double pole 50 amp breaker for a range style plug and then use that to run all my ballasts on 220?

Be sure to take into account veg and flower time. Example 1gpw is very different on an 8 week and a 12 week strain. If you took 4 extra weeks to get the same results, is it really the same gpw?
Really it's like a double graph, which a lot of guys don't know about or even how it works. I understand though. With a 12 weeker. Even only running 11 hour days, that's still 539 more lights on hours they get. For an equal comparison you would need to finish 3, 8 week crops, and 2, 12 week crops. Then you would be able to see which strain yields better per 8 week average, and comes closest or above 1 gpw.

The nute solution doesn't deteriorate the glue on the tape?

Also I agree on the corner plants. What you gain with them I bet you more than lose on the big girls.
I almost duct taped my screen on, then opted for 1 zip tie zig-zaged through the holes in the tailpiece.
