What in Colorado law changed plant count recs?

A year or two ago, i feel like the highest plant count docs could give you were your own 6 plus 5 patients for a total of 36 plants. 18 in veg, 18 in flower.

Well, my buddy today just got a rec for 99 plants.

I know not all doctors are doing that high of a count....so what gives?

Did the law change or is this doctor taking a bigger risk in losing his license??!!!

Can anyone enlighten me? Thanks in advance, positive rep will be given!

A friend has worked in a dispensary here in Colorado for years. When he renews his red card each year he just tells the Doctor that he moves weed around from place so he needs a bigger limit. I don't know what he is up to now for a limit. Anyway the Doctor will charge more money for the red card but my friend gets big limits. He has done that for years so I am thinking that has been a standard practice.

I think you have to look at what people in your state are commonly allowed by courts to have. Doesn't matter if you have a piece of paper that allows "x" plant count. That is up to the court. If it is reasonable for this person to have that many, and the county this person lives in has a good track record of not convicting medical growers, seems like a lesser risk, but ultimately, I don't know that either doctor OR judge is the right person to determine the plant count.

Not sure...but I was talking to someone the other day who was given 99. He apparently had to pay $500, which just has the greasiest feeling about it...it's like 'buying' your rights back :(

When I was checking around for my renewal, I found some places that charged extra for even a 24 count. No way! Principal!

But, I did find a place for $60 that gave a 24 count (not great, but a start!). PM me if you'd like details...

just write in on your doctors note "99 plant count" on it, just about as much good done

the law sets minimums, not maximums. These doctors don't have any reason to write in a plant count. It is whether or not the doctor will testify in court on your behalf that would be of concern.

Just saying, you probably don't want to draw any undue attention to your doctor, if you really appreciate his efforts. He'll stand up, but don't kick his chair legs.

The seagulls are circling^^^ It's common in oregon to pay $450 for 24 (18 veg/6 flowering). They will keep running the price up as long as people pay it.

nothing has changed in the law
the state has upheld increased plant counts in court, the 6 plants is just state reccommended amount, but its really between the doc and patient

the state now provides a section of the application for increased plant counts, whereas before docs had to write in the increase.

the doc i use gives increased plant counts at 3 diff levels, 25 50 and 75, at 3 diff price levels, not to expensive tho... imo worth every cent.

canna health clinic is the spot call them up for pricing... i can't quite remember, plus i have been using them for years for me and all my patients, plus referrals.
but i believe that for 300$ he will max you out.
also
with increased plant counts comes increased weight limits, like 8 16 or 24 ounces instead of the state suggested 2 oz.

Don't get these points sometimes. I would like to be able to say I lived in a state were it is legal. The states surely understand that when they wrote the laws there is always going to be someone who pushes the limits. Always! What happens to a person in a state were it is legal, then the state sets a limit on what you can have on your possession any given time and you get caught with over the amount. Do they fine you, put you in jail or what? I believe bottom line the states pushed legalizing it in order to save money on prosecution of it and taxing it.
