WiFi, a Taste of California...

Hello IC Maggers it's time to fire up the grow-op and replenish my weed stash. After an extensive research program this Spring, I settled on OG Rascal's White Fire. After paging thru countless grow threads I determined that WiFi had the most positive comments of any recent strain.

So, yesterday I planted 7 WiFi fems. Along with the wifi, I started 5 BC Kush regs to suppliment the grow but this year's focus is on the wifi.

I run a very simple setup, 400mh horizontal for veg in a 3.5ft x 4ft veg room and 600hps vertical for flower in a 4ft x 5ft flower room. All plants are in Pro-Mix (either BH or HP depending on availability). I've been running this set up for 8 yrs now so I don't expect many surprises but shit happens...

I'll detail the ferts (all organic) as we go along and bore you with countless veg pics until we can get to the magic in a couple of months. All comments and criticism are welcome and feel free to post your wifi pics here.

It'll be a couple more days before anything pops up but I'll introduce the seedlings to the community asap...

Hi GWB, thanks for the vote of confidence. You may change your mind when I tell you about my bonehead move.

At about 3 days after planting all the wifi were coming up but a couple were having trouble getting their heads out of the dirt. I was in a hurry but decided a little spritzing with water was in order to help them out. I accidentally spritzed one with pinesol instead of water. I had been using the pinesol to clean the veg room and grabbed it without looking and spritzed the first seedling before I realized what I was doing. I gave it a good spritz with water after and headed off to work thinking it would be dead when I got home.

When I got home it looked the same but I had to pull it and the other one out of the dirt and replant them as the heads were still buried. Anyway, these two are still wearing their shells at 5 days. I'll give them one more day and then try to gently pry off the shells if they haven't shed them.

If I lose the two wifi, I'll still have 5. All 5 of the BC Kush came up without incident. I'm still hoping all will survive...

Here's a pic of the wifi that I pinesoled. I'll leave it go for another week till transplanting and if it's still the same, I'll discard it. I tried to pry off the shell but it's on there good.

So, looks like 6 wifi's for sure and 5 BCK. I'm happy with the results, and take full responsibility for the single failing wifi. No germination problems here, just a stoner malfunction.....

I cant wait to try the wifi. I have 2 that are just about ready for the flip now. They are quite vigorous so far in veg and from what I read, they like to stretch in flower too.

Hello primobud and Bmac1. Welcome to the smilley comedy shop. Bmac, I'm told to expect 3X stretch in flower. My last grow stretched double so 3X should be manageable with the vertical configuration.

Day V15

I managed to pry the shell off the pinesoled wifi, it immediately fell over and I thought that was the end of it. Next day it was standing up but the cotelydon leafs never opened (yet). Still gonna give it a day or two but it's basically hopeless. Of the six remaining wifi, five have stretched so much as to need a little support. Tomorrow everything will go into 4 inch pots and I'll bury the seedlings an inch or so deeper, that should allow them to support themselves. The BCK are all self supporting and doing what they should.

Ha, ha, watch and learn 2bags. I'll show you the correct grip on the sprayer when pinesoling your seedlings. lol Seriously though, I've made every mistake in the book and then some..... I just hope these wifi live up to the hype.

As promised, I repotted the seedlings this morning on schedule and without incident so I'm celebrating with a big spliff of Hawaiian Snow Diesel. Ahh, who am I kidding? I'd be smokin this spliff incident or no incident. Here's a couple of those boring veg shots I promised earlier.

Willy from England, love your avitar. I searched every wifi, whitefire, OG Rascal thread there was back in the Spring. Most of the diaries were incomplete but most of the comments were positive. If this thread is anything like my others it'll go on till every one is bored silly.
